❤️ Booster Strap Appreciation Thread ❤️

I have these things called tru-straps 2.0. They're like Booster straps, but you get two straps instead of one! One strap for around the cuff/liner, and one for around the tongue.

With the Professional Dual Strap, you get a strap that applies pressure to the liner tongue and the plastic cuff simultaneously. Top half sits on the liner tongue, lower half sits on the cuff.

The top & bottom are fully elastic, plus the top half has outer velcro strap (part that says Atomic) that allows you to set how elastic/how much suspension the strap has. Setting the velcro to a loose tension allows for more suspension/damping and making the velcro tighter creates a more responsive strap. Think of it like a shock on a bike where you can adjust it to be wide open & squishy or locked out & firm and any setting in between.

Also I've had my booster straps for 10 years. On year 7 the metal part broke and they stitched a new one on for free. Satisfied customer.

Booster (elastic) cam straps don't actually make boots stiffer - they allow the cuff & liner to be more securely held against your leg. A Booster strap will be tight, but elastic and therefore flexible, not stiffer.

If you want a cam strap that makes the boot stiffer, get a non-elastic cam strap (almost every boot brand makes one). This will get the cuff & liner tight against your leg but be more rigid & direct.

But, this is the benefit of the Professional Dual Strap - you have either depending on how you set it up.

It feels good when I yank it though.

im retiring these boots anyways, 120 flex isn’t enough for me anymore. Hopefully saving up and getting fitted next year for the stiffest boot that works.

If you toss "Atomic Professional Dual Strap" into your Google machine, you'll get a bunch of options in your area.

In North America, Atomic doesn't sell direct to consumers; we only sell through retailers so you can either find them instore or on the shop's website.

In Europe, you can find them online very easily.

Where? I've never seen these in stock anywhere. This is the first I've seen, yet on some site I've never heard of before

That site is fake.

This Atomic just isn't stuff you can order normally, despite what he says about buckles, boot boards, straps, liners, or other boot hardware. You need to need find some retailer or some shit that you can have order it for you and, involving an unnecessary 3rd party and additional costs.

its 2023 not 1995.

It's for sure taking way too long to happen. But whenever Atomic North America does decide to sell direct to consumer, it won't be any cheaper than you see there- the retail price will be the same (just as it is with K2, Patagonia, Burton, etc.). It will just be way easier for everyone to find the parts they need, which will be a huge huge win.

Keeps shin in contact with boot so better power transfer/less slop in the boot. I recommend trying them or some iteration of aftermarket strap
