Energy drinks are taking over man! But how much of the stuff would you say you actually buy, with you know, money?

Being involved with snowsports, there's always free RedBull, Monster, Relentless etc. going round and everyone has a mate who reps the stuff so can get the odd crate every now and again.

Apart from Jagerbombs and Vodbull in bars Id say Ive bought like 4 energy drinks in the last 3 years. There's been times when I'd be having 3-5 free a day regularly and recently we took a Rebull party coach to the Alps where we must have had like 20 each over 24hours.

Is the marketing actually working with the snowsports community to make them buy it or do you think its designed as more of a rub-off effect on other sections of society. I feel we take them for a ride sometimes, not that I mind, they are a useful (yet disgusting) drug. :)
 
^Ah sweet, but to put a number on it, how many would you all say you drank, say per week?

Marketing wise, it seems that they spend their millions on product placement and logo branding instead media advertising that costs shit loads. Its obvious they make a huge mark up on each can they sell too, coupling that with being the long standing and enforced market leader makes them unstoppable.
 
well if you look at how much it actually costs to make the beverage compared to how much they can sell it for they do pretty well.

I don't have any buddies who rep the bull, in fact I don't know anyone at any of the mountains I ski at who reps anyone.

Most of us regular joes have to buy them each morning before we ski.
 
red bull is so sick, I was in the red bull energy station at the brickyard 400 today and they had really good food, free red bull, really hot girls that liked to dance with you, and really cool motorcycles and shit. I cant wait for the Moto GP race
 
yeah, there is auch a thing as free stuff... red bull is free anywhere a red bull truck is... anywhere and my friend's sponsored by monster and hates it so he hands out his weekly 30 racks to everyone haha.
 
OP just said some things and I stopped reading. I have the sudden urge to smoke. I don't want to risk it in case I have to get tested for work though.
