not sure we will be able to make our own given Ben has already gutted his Jeep and is making us an epic Winter Assault Vehicle, but maybe. We do have the welding equipment and all that jazz.
Would be legit if there was one already in Burlington somewhere who would be down to partner up.
Anyone got a grinch winch in Burlington and wanna have some fun this winter.
I don't know what kind they're using, but we use this winch called the "Grinch". We use it for skimboarding and it seems to work real well. We've never had any problems with it and it can pull you at a pretty good speed. 30ish mph. Heres a link to one.. http://http://www.buywake.com/catalog/detail/hFEdF
you could also try the banshee bungee, its not a winch, but its kinda the same principle, its also about $800 less than your average winch, and it doesnt make any noise when you use it. http://www.bansheebungee.com/store/
yeh, the winch is a bit more ideal for what we have plans for this winter, but we will have a bungee or two as well, for those spots we don't wanna bring attention too.
Yoo, be careful with those things. Not tryin to sound like dad but their scary. Make sure that the anchor to the bungee is set in the ground/sand/whatever really good. We were using one of those set ups last year and the anchor came out and railed the kid in the face. Shitty
I mean unless you're using it for a comp or something, bungees are way more practical and easier to use/get.
winches are pretty cool though, apparently you can make one out of a lawnmower engine so maybe look into that.
GET A BANSHEE BUNGEE!!!!
i have one and you can sling your self, with just one at 45 mph with a few buddies. with 2 bungees, well lets say things can get hectic
