Red Bull Student Brand Manager

I just applied a week or so ago and have a connection with Red Bull from a family friend, and am expecting a call soon for an interview.

Has any NSer's been or are a Red Bull SBM?

I just don't know what to expect, I love Red Bull and what they represent, (i.e. supporting and sponsoring a kid from small town Indiana for skiing (Goepper), and then having him blow up in the competition scene.) That is so awesome to me, just looking for more info on what to expect or if anyone has applied for this position before.

Peace.

a friend of a friend is one, but he isn't allowed to do any advertising, or really anything what so ever about it, because the uni has a contract with pepsi for all there soft drinks.

and the position is grandfathered in, if you get it, you have the power to pass it on to anyone

I actually got the position, it's pretty sick! Honored to work for Red Bull especially with all this dope video coming from MediaHouse on Goepper lately. Hoping once I graduate they offer me a real job ;)

two of my friends are, and one is a DJ with Red Bull Records. Seems like a great gig with plenty of perks, would definitely recommend following through with it if you get the position. Got the Red Bull bus for a day trip to the beach one time and trips to the Air Race when it was on the river in Detroit.

people that work for a fucking-retarded-over-rated-cock-sucking-no-balls-and-like-dick-in-their-ass company are douche bags? SUPRISE

My friend is one and its awesome. I'll occasionally get a few free boxes from her in exchange for helping out with an event. She'll velcro them under desks during finals week, people get stoked haha

Might not be the exact same position, but Red Bull essentially sponsors my frat (one of the members is the rep for campus). He gets paid and we get tons of free drinks, like enough cases to fill a whole room. Also get some banners and merch all for free. They sponsor a red bull party we throw once a year too. Pretty dope. I think they pay him a couple hundred a month too but I cant confirm that. Best of luck and enjoy it man

Yup same thing! We get paid decently & the perks are so legit!! But for sure doing that here on my campus already talked to a few frats to get a big ass party sponsored

I grew up at First Assembly across the street and live in Walkertown like 15 minutes away. Welcome to hell (winston)

So you're saying that I have to pay $2.50 for an 8 ounce can of Red Bull in order to help Red Bull make all their money back from kids being paid to give away cases to drunk kids and their fraternity brothers? Alright they can go fuck themselves

Perhaps you are also paying for these things:

Red Bull Cold Rush

Red Bull athletes and their travels (I think they sponsor skiers too), which have supported more than 1 skier to pursue his or her dream

Red Bull Music Academy and artists in general

Red Bull Media House and their productions

Serving P.I.N.O.E! (People in need of energy) and by promoting the brand on and around campus in numerous ways. It's not just passes free red bull out like some may think it is in depth and I have to turn in weekly excel sheets, etc to track my "seeding" of the product and other things

Quoting 40oz.:

You totally missed the whole point of a SBM

Quoting 40oz.:

But why would I? The Wings Team girls are all so amazing and attractive

Learn to multiquote instead of being a punk-ass triple-post busta.

Can you multiquote using mobile? Eh. I'll stick to being a "punk-ass triple-post busta" but thanks anyways

Who cares. They serve their purpose, are generally awesome girls, and are always easy on the eyes!! I don't see any problems there

haha I'm definitely not disagreeing with you, just warning you of the potential dangers of bitching about them from friends experience

no i understand the point. i go to snowboard club parties, ski club parties, frat parties all 'sponsored' by red bull, and its just a bunch of cases sitting in a corner for free and nothing else. it's not anything special. all i've seen is free red bull handed out to anyone and thats it. and I get pissed about it and have routinely just stolen cases off the pile to carry home by myself because no one gives a fuck.

if sponsoring parties and SBM did stuff more unique than having people hand out free red bull from a mini cooper or stacking cases in a corner, I'd support it, but it just makes it so that I have to pay 3 times as much for a can at 7/11 as I would another soft drink since they consider huge giveaways 'a sponsorship'.

cool, you get people stoked on red bull. but its a bunch of drunk kids and free giveaways to kids who dont give a fuck about what red bull does in terms of cold rush or sponsoring random extreme sports doesn't help the cause. it just fucks college kids like me over who want to buy one at 7am for class, or need it for studying during finals week. sure I get free red bulls at some parties, but i certainly dont appreciate it at 2am when i'm hammered and just thirsty for a drink. its just an add on to the free beers i'm already mooching at the party.

student brand managers can be cool, but for the most part, they don't do jackshit. i'm sorry if you think this is a dope job, but for all the kids I've seen representing the company, its just laziness on their part and a waste of the companies money that comes back to bite the committed consumer in the ass in terms of price.

I'm not going g to argue with you but you obviously don't know much about the company, because I promise you red bull isn't more expensive at 7/11 because of us SBM. There are less than 300 of us in the nation and us giving away red bull doesn't hike up the prices. The reason red bull costs so much is because of the quality ingredients and the fact they sponsor a million events like: red bull crashed, red bull media house, and all the athletes they sponsor, and the million trillion other things we spend on advertisements and stuff. Not the SBM, we are a blimp on the radar that actually does a lot of good for the company.

The reason why Redbull is so expensive is because of supply and demand. Because people are willing to pay $4.50 for a tiny can that probably costs about $.20 to make they charge $4.50 for it.
