Recommend me some mtns in PA/NY!!!

I live in NYC and have a house in Upstate, and ski at Hunter/Belleayre/Windham. Now that I bought a car and have a 3day wknd because of college, Im willing to drive a couple hours to get to different mountains. Are there any mtns in PA/NY that are close to NYC or Upstate (zip codes 11375 or 12414) Thanks!!
 
this. i ski at togg though (CNY) and it's a super dope place with a great vibe, everybody is open and helpful. longer drive (probably 3.5 hours) and smaller, worse park than mountain creek but we'd love to have ye up here.
 
Im def hitting up mc this yr at least once with a couple friends. I know this is a stretch but are there any good mtns near ny that have some decent trails?
 
if by that you mean not park... hunter, belleayre, and plattekill all have a decent pitch. hunter can get super crowded but they're all pretty cool
 
Elk in PA has decent trails, it's not large and has a pretty shitty park(but it has a rope tow) but the mountain has a cool vibe and it's pretty close to you.
 
Im looking at the website and it says they have night skiing for like $5 more, ive never been night skiing is it something i should lconsoder if i do make the trip here?
 
meh, night skiing is like day skiing just colder and darker. Personally I like night skiing at a more crowded mountain because it has more of a party vibe to it sort of. I'd rather go to elk in the day. They have some decent trees to poach waaayyyyyy over skiers left(don't get caught) after a good snowfall. You wouldn't have that option at night.
 
7 springs, big boulder. Some others in pa as well

Hunter has one of the only good parks in ny.

And then vermont has some dope shit
 
I don't see the point of going out of your way to go to hickory.

As far as park they aren't doing quite as bad. They got a few nice boxes/rails from mount snow. Like a 24 foot flat box. No jumps really but for a pretty much all natural mountain it's pretty dope.

I just feel like there are so many better places to go and spend $$
 
mountain creek is pretty terrible...if you are just going to lap the park i guess it isn't too bad but the place gets super crowded and there are tons of gapers everywhere. but people seem to love it...must be a jersey thing....zing
 
yeah I guess, I've never been so I can't really speak from experience but I was just trying to suggest some mountains with good terrain. It's out of the way for me yes, but he said he's from nyc and has done the whole hunter,windham, belleayre thing. I guess if you're going up that far ya might as well try gore or make a right and go to VT haha.

Truthfully if you're already in NY and not that interested in park, I wouldn't even advise coming down to PA.

haha out of the way??????????? Didn't you suggest seven springs? That's gotta be like a 6 hour drive from nyc. I'd kinda like to try it though, I think I could do it in less than 5. How is the mountain?? I'm not so much interested in park either what with being an old man and all.
