ski racing is the furthest thing from a dying amateur sport. have you ever been to or seen a world cup race? they have more spectators lining the hill and the finish area than an MLB game. I dont know where you got the word amateur. Anybody who races is always an amazing all around skier, and is probably better than you at anything other than park.

Just heard this morning that she may not be able to compete in the games. I got it second hand but somehow she got extreme shin bang. Trainers are trying everything they can to help her get past the pain, but they have to follow the IOC's rules for pain meds. I'm so bummed for her. She's so competitive, they better have her on suicide watch for awhile.
