Hey,

Im looking for a really light sub 100mm park/all mountain ski. With soft fun flex.

By really light im talking 1500-1700g per ski.

Been looking at the vision 98,

Anyone got any other suggestions?

Thnx

Vision 98 is a touring ski that will work ok in bounds but is by no means a park ski. The edges and construction will probably not hold up very long.

Thnx for all answers.

Live in europe so easiest for me to get mainstream brands.

Icelantic nomad 95 looks great I think.

As mentioned by others, you didn't say anything about size.

Easiest way to get light skis is to get short ones, saves a lot of weight. If you get kids skis you could easily get 1500g or lower.

We are based in Europe and so shipping is quick and easy.

The Fauna Omni would be perfect for OP but not currently for sale

Sorry I can’t offer you the Omni as a wider platform park ski right now. The alparka is narrower, bit stiffer underfoot and has more camber and so is more suited to more icy parks.

They need to make the alparkas in a 183+ size. I’d definitely ride them if they did

Noted. I appreciate that some people need/prefer a longer ski than we currently make. They are measured to true finished length and so other brands would say they’re a couple cm longer as they measure their skis using the flat material length.

We started with the core of the length range and plan to make longer and shorter skis in the future.

OP i would definitely recommend a Fauna over something like the Vision 98. Havent skied any Faunas personally but have talked to Alex and he 100% knows what hes talking ab and makes very good skis from what I've heard. The Vision isn't a park ski either, so it would likely explode before the end of the season as its not meant to be dealing with park abuse
