Realistic Zombie Survival Game

Was chilling on top of a castle during the night when somebody popped a flare, asked who's there and nobody answered. He came up to the top and I shot him, I got one murder and I feel like an asshole lol he had so much stuff on him though

i don't play on fixed servers, i just go for whichever is in daylight, low ping, regular difficulty and few players :) last night i got sneaked up on by a bandit with a shotgun, he missed the first shot so i turn around with my .45 revolver and first shot i squeeze off is a headshot :P guy had tons of food, a map, knife, axe, matches, and his double barrel with plenty of ammo :P

also, if you do manage to find someone trustworthy, it becomes so much easier to raid stuff, like literally entire small villages can get handled easily by two persons, we just used makarovs with plenty of ammo, one of us would run around and lure a horde into a doorway where the second one would be ready to headshot the zombies as they slowly come through the door, you can get 6 or 7 kills with 8 rounds easily ...

also, i really suggest to study the maps, especially the coastal settlements... (since you always spawn at the coast)

The moment you spawn there's a short time where your location is displayed at the bottom right, then try to orientate yourself (you can also use roadsigns but beware, these are in cyrillic and you'll need some training or a printed map to be able to distinguish these) and make your way to a target of interest .... (airfield, military base, barns, industrial sites, etc.) these spots often provide great weapons, once you're packing heat, go pillage a village for supplies ....

try to stay away from bigger cities until you got a good kit, the reason i suggest to avoid bigger cities early on is because of the higher Z concentrations but also because these are usually full of bandits waiting to kill you and steal your gear...

the reason i suggested stocking up on ammo and food first is exactly because of this.... confrontations with bandits are often much deadlier and you need to be able to survive them...

also, CRAWL! if you take your time and crawl, you can clean out a village or industrial site without ever going into a confrontation with zombies ... (also, NEVER stand up, crouching makes you much less visible and is almost as fast as standing up, your aim is also better ... only stand up and run when you're covering large distances in the woods or if you want to attract Z to lure them into a trap .....

Good advice.

Finally got my game working and played an hour last night. Went through three villages and an airbase and found no guns. Also, how do you "log out". Is it just clicking abort?

yeah is there like some sword or any kind of knife? I've watched tons of vid on youtube and I've never seen anyone using a melee weapon

just spent 350$ on a new computer to play that game haha it's actually not working with mine, it does but it's laggy as fuck.

Just FYI to everyone new: the latest patch starts you out with no weapon, food, or water. Zombies spot you from further as well. The game just got a lot harder.

answering a few questions-> aborting/disconnecting is like logging out, next game you start with your full kit in the same spot

yes, i play on a laptop

and with the new patch you start out with basically nothing, just some bandages so it become very important that you don't catch the attention of any zombies, crawling becomes even more important, if you do catch some and its in a small town, either you go for the safe approach and run, keep running, try to shake em by zigzagging through trees or if there's steep terrain at hand, go there, zombies climb steep terrain very slowly or not at all if its steep enough.... another approach is to run through the entire town, attract all the zombies you can, then run into the water and swim away.... zombies don't like water, normally speaking this is a bad tactic because you lose your gear but since you now start out with nothing, it gives you a chance to draw away all the zombies from a town leaving it open for you to pillage (once you swim your way out )

send an email to the support team, I bought it two time and I just asked them to refund me one of the 2 and they did without asking any question so just explain them that you have a mac and that you cant play the game, they'll prolly refund you

there's programs for your mac that will allow it to boot as a windows pc... boot camp or parrallels desktop

i've got a quad core MBP with a 2ghz i7 but i don't think my graphics card would be able to run it well cuz it's only allocated 256mb. has anyone else with a similar system tried running it?

boot camp will run it a lot better than parallels. Parallels runs windows inside of the mac virtually and it works but it's not native windows.

On boot camp it's just like your dual booting your mac. Windows side running natively and mac side.

Parallels is neat cus you can run windows and mac stuff at the same time at the expense of performance. Parallels is also like $50?

Boot camp if free you just need a windows disc and authorization key and then you go to

Applications > utilities > boot camp assistant.d

and thanks guy that replied to me

ppl can pm me as well for an invite ....

Alright so I downloaded the free Arma II demo from Steam to see if it would run alright on my laptop. It's a little laggy, is there anything I can do with the options or with my comp to make it run smoothly?

turn down the quality to low or very low in the graphic thingy or just play the game on the smallest pixel possible(which make it impossible to play haha) but just low it a little bit

not the quality but if you put the resolution to the lowest you'll probably won't be able to play cause it's really really shitty haha but if you just low it a lil bit it will work fine

personally i've noticed that the shadow drawing is quite processor intensive, go to advanced options and disable shadows and set general quality to medium or low
