The whole idea behind Skifi is that they do something different and new. What is better than that? Yet ANOTHER kid dressed in baggy ass clothes trying to replicate B&E style?

Good on them. If you don't like their style, fair enough, but I remember one of their episodes specifically addressing the fact that one of the boys wears purple skinny jeans and was hated on for it and he shrugged it off and said he really didn't give a fuck.

How many skiers do you see have as much fun/be as inventive as they are with skiing?

And their segment in Partly Cloudy was so ridiculously good. Chalk me up on the "Love it" side.
 
Real Skifi. Love their stuff. So innovative. And they look they have a great time doing it as well.

Old video but w/e. this was a pretty soft target. They knew what they were doing was pathetic and that's the point. I feel yobeat missed the joke or are just super lazy and did the most obvious thing to do to the video.

How is it embarrassing? Creativity is what freeskiing is all about and i havent seen anything nearly as creative as skifi.

I actually didn't find that very funny at all. I remember liking some of yobeats things but that guy's voice was just annoying.

I thought that edit was really funny but I love Real SkiFi I think they are one of the best things in skiing right now. And if they actually were gay, so what?

LOVE REAL SKIFI!!!!!! At the very least, you have to appreciate and acknowledge the originality. The Yo Beat edit probably could have been funny if it was executed better, but the guy who did the voice overs ruined any chance of that. The bottom line is that they are having fun, and that's all skiing has ever really been about.
 
What is wrong with everyone on newschoolers these days real skifi is the worst representation of skiing since fucking acro skiing. Its pointless and really fucking gay the yobeat video was perfect. Everyone in the ski industry has been trying real hard for the publics respect for years and we were almost there and then real skifi just made freesking and urban skiing a laughable sport comparable to fucking rollerbladeing! Thanks guys

But man, lots of butthurtedness. Real SkiFi is cool, the Yobeat video is pretty funny. Both of those things can be true, and they are. Lighten the fuck up. This reaction, kneejerk defensiveness and a pathetic desire to be "accepted" by snowboarding and the general public, is exactly why skiing garners the negative attention at times.

The truth is that Brooke loves skiers (ask her when she's drunk), and this is just such an easy troll that they had to take the shot.

Stept is tight, they hit burly, high consequence shit to flat, ala technine, and real skifi is tight, they do weird, slow, creative, quirky jibbing, ala think thank. There's room for both approaches, and both sports are stronger because of the diversity. Honestly, who doesn't like watching a combination of the big, scary, gnarly shit broken up or combined with some out of the box, creative features/tricks? In my book, that's the best we can hope for. The kind of riders/skiers that marry...mate?...those things are the pinnacle.
 
The "ok bud" was intended for this silliness. Watch his season edit from last year and tell me he's not one of the most talented skiers doing it. Some of his shots DO make SkiFi stuff look a little...inconsequential. Now, had you used Joey C as the point of comparison, I would've rode with you.
 
Real Skifi is pretty good, and it was especially exciting to see them in Partly Cloudy skiing with Logan Imlach.
 
Real Skifi is the best thing in skiing right now. The stuff they do is tech, creative, entertaining, and even my dad is hyped on them. They might seem colour-blind based on how they dress but who cares, it's funny, they don't give a fuck and Real Skifi wouldn't be the same without those purple pants
 
The problem with humour like this is that if you aren't actually funny, you just come off as a dick.
 
Fuck the yobeat edit. Seriously. The Real SkiFI crew is so different and unique to their style that we can't even really categorize it as simply skiing. They also changed the way I looked at skiing in general. I didnt even know that we can get so creative on two planks attached on our feet: They are fucking awesome and I love em.
 
most of the stuff they do is cool but there is some stuff they do that is just wack. like when he takes the phone out and updates his facebook status. lol what the fuck is that.
 
i like it, the kids are obviously talented and creative..

however, they build most of thier urban lips like right up to the rail which is not so tight butthole
 
that edit was retarded. a funny idea but poorly executed. and real skifi is the shit nothing comes close to touching the creativity of those guys.
