Real Mountain

Which resort you got?

Personally I love skiing Aspen but it doesn't seem like it can match the terrain of the other Mountains and doesn't fit in to the theme of the mountains in this contest. Also Snowbird is the only other Mountain in the group that I have skied so maybe I'm wrong. Mammoth and Revelstoke always seem like the best Inbounds terrain with the best snow.

Im split between jackson, mammoth, and squaw. I woulda had whistler up there too but they showed a park jump... boooooooooo.

Snowbasin is pretty sick. Tons of awesome side-country that you can access right off the lift, and there's a lot of fun stuff you can hike to as well.

Aaaaaaand I just realized Snowbasin has nothing to do with what this thread is about. My bad, I thought this was just a thread of sick mountains...

I still have no Idea what this thread is about

I’m biased living in jackson but I just watched all these so I can confidently say that JHMR has by far the best real mtn athlete team of that selection.

but I’d rather whistler win because then x would do a better job producing this shit. Jackson is just too remote and gnarly to do a large scale event. I also dont want these resort athletes shooting all over the place and causing problems more than they do already. Unless there is some type of open comp. or they somehow are able to do this OB just outside the gates. honestly I’m just dreaming cuz Idk what this whole thing is about

As an Aspen local, goddamn they really screwed the pooch on their video submission. That video was horrible compared to the others. We have great terrain we could have shown but all they did was show tree runs and the jumps we have? I think Whistler has the best video. Squaw was close 2nd.

Revelstoke by far. However, small community run ski center always have a charm to them.

For out of bounds skiing: Rogers Pass

Revy is somewhat over-rated hype. If you're lucky it'll be good snow top to bottom. The majority of the time the snow is only good on the upper half of the mountain, which pushes everyone to the two upper chairlifts and long lines on powder days. The base elevation of RMR is just over 500 meters... And the big snow dumps come from the south-west with warmer air; often rain to the lower mountain. Unfortunately RMR is in a bit of a snow shadow of the Monashee's where 50% more snow falls than on the resort. The drier campaign storms and slower moving systems tend to stall directly across the the valley to the west. I've had just as much fun skiing at any BC ski resort on a good day as I've had at Revelstoke. RMR's best days are behind it until the build up the mountain with new llifts and terrain; 5 years ago I'd agree it's the best. Now the entire mountain is tracked out by early afternoon and the side country will be tracked out within a day or two; very talented, athletic riders and competitive.
