reactor bindings and how LINE salesmen can't even set them up right.

a lil BLUE loctite here and there wouldnt hurt either. the blue kind will keep the screws in there but still let u take the screws out without giving you a pain in the ass(aka red loctite)

^ smart man. anyhow, ive broken a pair, and ill continue to ride them. why?

a: line backs thier product. break it and you'll get another.

b: theyre safe, and id much rather have a bruise from a fall, or a bit of downtime from a broken binding then a torn acl

and its not like look or salomon didnt have these problems years ago when they started making bindings, we just were'nt there to see them.

Over 2500 left handed people a year are killed from using products made for right handed people.

so basically i lost my penis trying to have sex with my cat.

look, i'm not interested in stats. i'm interested in whether or not i can trust the bindings i'm in.

no one responded to my post after calling me a pussy, instead you just avoid it and give me these statistics.

but i could care less, you guys will understand my argument when your sweet line bindings blow up after taking a tiny spill. have fun!

What were you looking for a response about?

You stated that you didn't like how heavy they are and blah blah blah.

You're entitled to your opinion. What is there to respond to.

see, youre still missing the point. the weight, as i said many, many times, was NOT my issue. it was just an additionally shitty part of a non durable binding. so have fun blindly supporting a low quality binding.

Well what the stats told you is that even though the binding has its problems (in the issues of durability) it is still as trustworthy as an equivalent binding on the market. And even those issues are still being worked and improved upon with each new realease of the binding. What your basing your opinion upon the reactor of is a very very small piece of data that results in a skewed statistic, and the stats that jordan gave you are statistics that show you the big picture. And on the issue of prereleasing within the first 30 seconds of being on the reactors, im really glad you gave the binding more of a chance than that in testing, 30 seconds and quit is a good way to assess a product.

There are also many issues with people thinking that they actualy know how to setup a binding when in reality they have no clue. Setting the forward pressure correct is definatley one of the most vital things when setting up that binding with the design that it uses, although it cant account for toe/heelpieces snapping off for no reason that is just the result of weak teeth holding the binding in place (which i believe is one of the improvements made in next years reactor, higher quality teeth in the toe). With all this said, i trust my reactors above any other binding i have ever riden in.

Probably weak teeth, why dont p12s release lateraly from the heel? Ive heard of alot of people getting hurt because of that. Im thinking maybe someone should complain about that design. I havent heard of a single person being out for the season because their line bindings heel/toepiece came off.

hahaha, nice post jquared. i really like the idea, but my reactors blew up my first day. i think that stronger plastic is a good step, but more metal is the only soution in the long run, which will make the binding heavier. you dont notice it underfoot, but hauling it into the backcountry you do. its a nice idea, but the only way i can think of doing it correctly is integrating the boot and bnding together

exactly. like ive been saying, its a great concept, but they need to work on it for a while before charging hundreds of dollars for them

Just to shut people up on this site im gonna say this. I own skis with marker, atomic, look and line bindings. Marker makes a great rec binding but pre release on me all the time. no real problems with atomic, except for coming out of them on a race course. I have Look bindings on my PE's and i have broke these bindings THREE TIMES in a matter of 1 year. I bought a pair of line motherships with reactor 12 bindings and i have had ZERO problems to date, i will keep you posted and have a full review of them by the end of the season.

^thats not going to shut anyone up. so what? you have a pair of reactors and so far youve been lucky enough to not have them break on you. great.
