I think someone should totally hit up on this idea, although the prototyping process and production costs are outrageous...I came across them in some market analysis. But have you ever seen some DC boots with like gel @ the toe, heat pad inserts, and that thing where you can pressurize the boot on the tongue....it would be wayyy rad!

what the fuck are you talkin about? is it a ski movie? or sum freaky shit that has to do with the universe?

it costs millions to get c&c molds for every size in a full run of ski boots, and thats after you have all the r&d done and know exactly what you want

 
globe??? globe are the worst shoes ever, i mean they are comphy but you cant skate them for like a month without them falling completely apart. not to mention they dont even make snowboard boots. I think somone should take the rossi soft boot idea, make it a little lighter and look more like a snowboard boot or something people would want to wear and market it.

 
defy should make a boot. call it the defykator and make sure its rear entry.

yes i have worn a snowboard boot. quite comfy indeed. im just saying, i wouldnt much care for a snowboard type boot because of all of the hype that something such as snowboarding gets.

 
if you used a boot as soft as a snowboard boot you would have no control over the skis, the only reason they work for boards is because they are strapped in at 2 places on one board. even with the ski soft boots that are already out you loose lots of control

no...ud just need a snowboard type binding to hold u in....it has ntohing to do with having both feet on one board. there bindings just lock there ankles, like our boots.

i have xwave6's and they're way more comfortable than both my friends' snowboard boots (the DC's with the wire tightening knob thingy), and like 600% more comfy than any of the other pairs of boots i've owned (rossi course E's, koflach POS's, lange gx9's) in my 20 years of skiing

actually snowboard bindings lock your foot forward if they have a highback, other than that, they lock your foot to the board, not from moving your legs to either side or to the front. and pocketrocketripper, send an email or a letter to a boot manufacturer and ask them how much it costs to R&D an entirely new design for a ski boot. before you have a mold for the boots, you need to have every peice of plastic machined out of a solid block to make your first prototypes, in every size of the entire run, then test them all, rework them, etc. etc. over and over again several times during a season untill you find a shape that works well. so yes, millions is a fair estimate

 
dude...theyve already made a snwoboard boot/binding for skis....it worked...the only problem is that the boots are too wide so u ahve to have a mad lift to carve
