Raynox 6600

^^^^To the fisheye suggested above I also use it. It gives a lot of distortion and width , but if you don't want vignetting you have to zoom in a tiny bit or crop it out in Sony Vegas or whatever you use.For the extra battery pick up a BP-2L24H it lasts the longest but is not totally flush with the viewfinder.

That battery is about $80, the one I posted is $9, even though it is 1800 mAh and the BP is 2400mAh

Check out B&H, they have it for around $120, I am picking one up soon. Also get the 52mm because I hear it will have less vignetting than the 43mm

Shit, I found it on BestBatt for $35. I'm probably going with that instead now.

And to who suggested B&H thanks - That's most likely what I'm getting/where

Going cheap on battery's (at least for high end cameras like mine) is a bad idea. I ended up dropping 120 on a legit battery this year because i bought some cheap 20 dollar battery that was suppose to be as good as my legit battery and it lasted legit 1/8th as long. It's hard to go cheap with camera equipment if you want quality shit.

i picked up a dvxuser battery before the season for like ... $70? and it's doing really well. Try looking into one of those if you ever need to pick up another battery, a ton of people vouch for them.

yeah yeah like 85 after shipping, i considered that, but i thought id just send the extra 35 for the legit batts.

No it's actually the legit BP-2L24 battery. I was going to get a cheap generic one off PriceGrabber.com but decided to go for the real stuff. Thats's what I was afraid of though.

I cant say anything on the battery bouncing but I can say from experience that HVX's bounce pretty well if you drop them at high speed!

I was only trying to say that my camera sucks shitty battery down like its nothing, but while my friend scott has a dv30 and the same battery i kill in an hour will last him 6 hours.

6600 is the perfect wide for the hv30...i used it for a day before selling my HV30 stuff. No distortion, vignette, quality loss or color loss. I paid the extra 20 for the 52mm version...worth it.
