RATE MY EDIT - editing, skiing, thumbnail, title...

Hey guys,

After putting quite alot of work into this edit I'd really like to hear some opinions from you!

My major problem with edits right now is finding appealing names and thumbnails. Therefore please also tell me if you would have been likely to watch the edit in the first place and on what I could improve concerning those two points.

Any feedback is really appreciated!

Honest opinion, the song kind of worked for the edit but I think it was too slow for a fast paced edit like this. Also ski edit songs usually work best when they have a build up and climax. This song was steady all the way through. This made it easy to lose interest in the edit halfway through. But there were some shots that fit perfectly with the song. You have to chill with the lines because they get kind of cheesy after the first few uses. The skiing was def super tech but you have to add way more creativity and different rails. Add some grabs, taps, presses, 50/50s and hit different rails. This could make your edit way more entertaining. Overall I liked the edit, just magnifying the things I didn't like.

Thanks for the feedback. Definetly going to try to do some more "creative" skiing, but it often just is to tempting to get super tech on rails.

Also sorry for posting this in ski gabber, somehow messed up. Please move it to media and arts.

I dug it. I liked a ripple or whatever you'd call it with the beat.

A few things I'd work on. With rail edits, i'd cut out alot of the meh shots and just put the good ones in, like he said above, lost interest somewhat quickly. And with the song, I personally don't edit to rap much, but it seemed very monotone and unexciting to me. Something with a better vibe might have worked better IMO. And as always being smoothing with the glide cam, getting a good crop and different angles.

Overall it was rad though, really like the title and transitions!

Meh, you basically just ripped off stept productions logo for "Mutiny" with your little logo card thing, the skiing was good and super tech, the line animation thing was cheesy and the song was kinda too slow for the style of the edit...

Just realised that the song you used was also used not too long ago in that trailer for the ski movie Kegan Kilbrides in the "Hype Train - By Us For U Trailer" if im not mistaken.

Thanks for the feedback. The intro was definetly not inspired by mutinity, actually it wad created before any trailers for mutinity went live and I did not watch the mentioned trailer for the movie.
