Rash from ski boots?

I searchbarred and couldn't find anything, although I didn't know what to search for because I don't know what it is. My bad if this has been posted.

Anyways, I seem to get these bumps and sensitive areas on my ankles after skiing. My boots are really comfortable, but could it be because they're too big, and are rubbing up against my ankles too much?

Any ideas/help would be appreciated :) thanks!

are u allergic to the cold? also known as urticaria, its when u r actually allergic to the cold, and u get rashs or hives from it, its possible, but maybe ur socks are sliding up and down and casuing the rash, or ur hairs are getting pulled out which is very common

Maybe it is just that my hairs are ripping out. There are smaller hairs there, which might be growing back because of last year. But the skin gets super dry and such, but that might still be because of that.

Thanks, +k.

what size shoes do you wear and what mondo point is your boot? if you dont know mondo point look by the heel of the boot and see what your sole length is. and do u wear a thin ski sock?

obvious question but do your boots stink? you might need to hit them with a little odor eaters to kill any bacteria/mold funkness. might be a cheap solution.

@Pwn.Mode - I wear a size 12 shoe, and a size 28.5 ski boot. After looking at charts, 28.5 is a 10 1/2? I might be missing something, but my boots fit really nicely and slide in easy. And yes, I do wear a thin sock.

@Akg - Yeah, I guess they do stink a little bit. Maybe I will try and spray them off, thanks.

@Samsonite - I sure hope not, but after researching that doesn't sound that far off.

Thanks for the help guys.
