Rapist/Murderer of 170+ victims set to be released from prison in 2020's

kinda old news. probably a repost but i just learned about this yesterday and thought id share it.

colombian laws= fucked.

this dude got a 40 year sentence for the rape and murder of over 170 (known victims) young poor boys aged 8-16 in the 90's and is set to get off on good behavior in about 10 years. this good behavior is for telling the authorites of the location of the bodies.

get this... he also wants to start a politcal career to help prevent the abuse of poverty stricken children.

This piece of shit should have been put to death as slowly and painfully as possible..there is no need for a creature like that on this planet
 
Anyone watch Law Abiding Citizen with Gerard Butler? This dude rape and murders Gerard Butlers wife and daugther..he then kills him in one of the craziest/gruesome ways ever..that should be done to this animal
 
ahh why bother torturing them. that makes you no better than they are. sure, people like this deserve to die, but making them suffer only lowers you to their level. death penalty is fine for me in cases as drastic as this one, but just chop his head off or something cool like that (and relatively instant)
 
yeah youre probably right..its just hard for me to settle on a quick and painless death where this guy feels NOTHING before he dies..but got away with physically and sexually abusing 170+ people including children. I cant imagine the amount of pain/torment those people had to go through
 
Some chinese guy in canada sawed off a random guys head on a greyhound bus and ate part of him like 2 years ago and now he's getting released cuz he pleaded "insanity" and now he's fine. If this happened in china where he's from he would have been shot and killed by police the second he steeped off that bus holding some innocent guys head.
 
Death Penalty and life sentences don't exist in many countries.

In my Criminology course I was studying a place (in Europe I believe) where the max sentence for anything is like 20-24 years or something. Inmates serve their sentences on a quaint little island where they live in their own houses with 2-3 other inmates, caring for the place and going about their day..sometimes they're even allowed to travel into the mainland for periods of time. I recall one instance where a guy being held had killed others with a chainsaw and they had him doing grounds work on the island with a chainsaw lol..

Point is, the USA's approach to criminal justice is a joke, and clearly longer sentences don't do what we have always hoped they would. The crime rates are substantially lower than here and many other countries in places where punishments aren't as harsh.
 
yeah i see where you're coming from. maybe a life sentence in a shitty columbian prison would even be a worse punishment. and giving him a painful death is a relatively small factor because he's going to be dead anyways, which is the whole point.
