Rape culture. don't be a creep.

I thought i graduated and dont have to go to anymore Greek sponsored "rape and alcohol" classes?

There is black, white, and many shades of gray...

well this is not really aimed at you then? if you are graduated i'm sure you are wise enough to not be posting all the terrible things I see here.

I just heard the first question five seconds into the video and that's what you get for sending naked pictures of yourself to a football player in high school.

Sorry I take that first post back it's really late and I thought i heard distributed naked pictures. I missed the rape part.

WOW this actually one of the better videos I have ever seen on rape culture, props +K

grey area: where you aren't sure whether the girl you are putting your penis inside wants your penis inside of her.

ya seems like a good place to be...

The raping sloth thing is a joke, that's all it is.

I'm not a rapist, racist, pedophile, or sexist. Frankly, I find most of those sickening, but I still find jokes about those subjects humorous because I don't mean it in a malicious way. Sure, society may frown upon those acts in utter disgust, but I still have a sense of humor, whether or not the joke is of an offensive nature.

She's drunk I'm sober: She can't consent; get drunk and proceed as follows.

She's drunk, I'm drunk: We're equally unable to make informed decisions. Condom on and full speed ahead.

She's sober, I'm drunk: Call 911, I've been raped....possibly more than once.

Although you took this comment back, do you really think somebody deserves to be raped for sending a nude picture?

In my mind when I heard it I thought the player was being charged with Sending a naked picture around I missed the rape

ok just watched the whole thing and think everyone on here should watch it too. It doesnt matter if you think "hey man I would never rape a girl so this doesnt affect me", its more about the actual normalization of rape, and the attitudes about it. Sure, I make rape/sloth jokes too, so I guess that makes me a hypocrite (?), but I still know that rape is rape. And sex without consent is an abomination. The thought of a guy taking me sleeping/being passed out and not able to even shake my head in response as a sign of me begging for the d is repulsive.

He makes a good point in the end that you never question boys who have been raped by priests/football coaches, that those boys must have had something to do with it themselves and probably "asked for it" somehow, but when women gets raped there is always someone who wants to point out the "circumstances" (being under the influence, wearing a certain garment etc)....

at least you men dont bash them hoes over the head and have your way with them anymore, seems like that was pretty accepted and visually reproduced in own modern version of the stone age.

in my personal feelings, horrible shit happens, such is life.

sorry if said shit happened to you.

ok, so if a woman chooses to sleep with somebody, and then regrets it late, is it rape?

But if her rapist doesn't know he's a rapist there's a good chance that means she was into it drunk or not. If she flirted with him, and was into it the whole time, she can't call rape just because she was drunk. Also she got drunk and cheated on her boyfriend, no wonder he called her a slut.

I'm not saying that's def how it happened but it seemed to be the most logical route going by her own statements.

It's sucks when girls cry rape where there wasn't. The power girls hold can be fucked up. One of my buddies just got attacked by this chicks boyfriend over the summer. The girl accused him of rape and started this shit storm. Even came out that she had told friends that he didn't rape her, and there wasn't shit for evidence, but he's been dealing with shit from it for years.

Also it make it more of a pain in the ass for girls who really did get raped, because then people are less likely to believe them. The penalty for crying rape should be pretty big, because that can fuck over a guys life massively, as well as fuck over every girl who legitimately got raped.

I'm not saying it's good to fuck people that are really drunk or that I believe in it, but I think that's a shitty excuse and a bullshit place to call rape. If you get really drunk and aren't able to defend yourself and get raped that's rape. If you get really drunk and fuck a guy but were really drunk that's not rape.

If you get behind the wheel of a car while you're drunk They aren't like "but she was drunk so it's not her fault" You are responsible for your actions despite the fact that you were drunk. If I throw a rock threw somebodies window they aren't going to say "well he was drunk so it's not his fault". If a girl get's drunk and fucked a dude willingly, that is NEVER rape in my opinion. It may be unethical, it may be a little fucked up. But you are responsible for your actions. A good friend would try and help you from your mess of a self and get you away from anything but if you voluntarily drink, get drunk, and flirt with a dude, then voluntarily fuck him, you're a dirty slut and a piece of shit if you try and play the rape card.

Just my opinio / $.02

i was

i saw that comment on this picture after a friend posted it on Facebook, all i could do was laugh at how stupid it was.

i wanted to see newschoolers reaction. looking back it was kinda dumb for me to post it that way, out of context and all

That's just for little boys though. I've had girls try and rape me.

No means no wasn't working so I opened the tent and ran away to a safe place. She also stole my blanket so I was cold that night.

Also said no to girls, had them start touching me, and then been like no I don't want to. Come on, come on. One girl tried to bribe me with breakfast. Finally got her to understand that I didn't want to have sex with her.

Yeah you're way more likely to get raped if you're a girl, but that's also because you can't really tie a guy up and penetrate him.(Well yeah but I'm talking about girls/guys)Also even if a chick raped a guy he would probably just be stoked that he got laid.

I think the drunk/rape thing goes too far. Obviously if somebody is unconscious or about there and you stick your dick in her that's rape. But if she's wasted and into it and then calls it rape after she's a drunk little slut. Being drunk isn't an excuse. If you're hammered but alive and kicking able to speak in words, and you're flirting with a guy and have sex, you can't call rape on that. IT's just fucked.

I agreed with what some of the guy said and disagreed with a lot of stuff. Also he seemed pretty creepy.

inb4 he rapes somebody.

no.

gray area: some smokeshow is very, very drunk and literally grabbing your junk and talking dirty to you.

gray area: you get shitfaced, black out and wake up next to a chick and a used condom.

gray area: you bring a chick back to your place, make out and then gradually proceed to 2nd base, to 3rd base etc.

some would say banging her out is rape, others would not.

Well legally if someone is super drunk they can't give consent = having sex with them is rape (legally) I will admit that lots of people both get drunk and to me this is not rape, however if legally someone can't give consent, like when they are drunk, you have to make sure and be extremely confident that the person wants to have sex with you. I wouldn't be satisfied with anything less then 'Do you want to have sex?" "Enthusiastic response such as Yes!!!! let's go!!"

It is NOT cool to stick it in someone and wait for them to stop you. You have to give them the choice before you make a move, because stopping someone from doing something can be harder and intimidating.

I admit there is grey areas in the sense that you may not know whether it was rape, but there is not a grey area as to whether it was rape or not. This is where you are putting yourself and others in danger, by not being sure if what you are doing is wanted.

At the end of the day it doesn't really matter what the general population would say, it matters what the person it happened to thinks about it, whether they consented and wanted it to happen.
