Been really struggling with names more recently. Or maybe just noticing it again. I mean it's def getting worse. Brain injuries are bad. Hopefully things hold up for a while. I don't have a family or plan on getting super old so that helps but damn.

Sucks not remembering people or struggling hard to remember names and faces and even events that happen. My life has always been chaotic but I used to have a really good memory. Good memorize shit pretty easily. Now its a lot harder. Obviously everyone memory gets more shit as they get older but my brain is just like "nope" on remembering shit too often.

Idk. I think about it once in a while. Hope I live a decent life but I don't want to get too old. I think shit will start to unravel along the way.

It always made me chuckle when dudes in HS that had plans for trade school or construction got pissed in math class and would say shit like "I'm never going to use this crap why do I need to learn it"......my brother in christ, yall are going to use math more than anyone I know.

shit my whole job is basically math, but I don't actually use it ever. I just need to know what math to use when and then I program a computer to do it. My GFs brother is a carpenter and he knows 100x the highschool and mental math than I will ever know.

For real. It takes about 8 mins into a project where measuring gets impractical and quick math finds the length/angle you need

you’re correct, every few months some new bullshit health problem arises on top of my dumbass joint issues. in february i got absolutely FUCKED by covid and ever since my lungs haven’t felt 100% and now i’ve got another round of sickness fucking my lungs that isn’t covid. (at least i think).

I am so fucking ready for the NFL season. Skiing's over. Bring-on Baseball, the Stanley Cup Final, CFB, and Preseason in August

Oh man also this is going to be a brutal summer of work but fuck-it, dude. Got bills to pay.
 
A simple brake job early this morning before skiing turned into a whole day job. The caliper bolt hole threads are all fucked up so I bought a tap and turns out it had a manufacturer defect so I went back to the store and they didn't have any more. Half an hour later the next store had all the sizes but what I needed. Final store had it but driving around on a holiday weekend Saturday is fucking chaos and now I'm pissed off. Hopefully a couple hours of skiing this afternoon is worth it
 
Damn the new bolt still stripped and is stuck but spinning. Can't get it out. Very hard to access spot. The problem bolt was already different than the rest which leads me to believe someone else (eagle tire bozeman probably) fucked up their job, put a new bolt in without telling me, and used a pneumatic wrench to way too high a torque. My lug nuts were also torqued too high. This shit is really annoying, missed my friends birthday, probably will have to drive to Tahoe a day late and miss seeing a different friend. I paid about $300/hr in labor for that job and they fucked up something i noticed immediately, now this two years later. They were not super friendly, either. Why is it so hard to find a decent mechanic? Fuck you Eagle Tire for being such dumb fucks.

Yes. And it only gets worse and more annoying when your parents get older.

My Mom's memory is starting to go. So every time I call home I have to deal with her asking me about something I just told her 2 weeks ago.

Dude I feel you, when something could go wrong it will when working on vehicles, rust, dumbass mechanics, etc. it’s such a pain in the ass, and especially if it’s older. Then you’ll always be missing that one tool with tires on the ground.

meanwhile it’s like therapy working on my skis and bikes, of course it’s easier but it seems like much less of a headache. Only reason I fix stuff is cause shops are insanely expensive, I guess it’s a nice skill too.

also yeah fuck eagle tire. I made a seasonal swap appointment and took them two days to complete. Also they left my door open and drained the battery. I love echo motors in 4corners for stuff like timing belts, and they’re a little pricy but really know their shit at toms alignment, yet it’s appointment only usually.
 
About to fly back to Bozeman for the summer from Boston and the Logan airport wifi has to be some of the worst free internet I've encountered in a while. I can't load any videos on NS or anything else and I was really hoping to catch up on ski media from the last two weeks.

Fuck flying for so many reasons.
