I was at the skatepark today and saw something that really pissed me off. A gay rollerblader with his jeans tucked in and a Justin timberlake like faggot beret had a 4frnt Skis t-shirt on.

Thus begins the rant...

SKIING IS NOT ROLLERBLADING YOU FAGggots! Skiing has been around for like 200 years give or take. Rollerblading is a gay/easy sport derived by michelle kwan in the early 90's. Because she had tried skateboarding and twisted her frail ass ankle, and wanted to do something easier and more similar to her first passion, ice skating with a dress on. She dreamed of a street sport in which you could simply jump on to rails and such instead of the difficult ollie.

I wish it would have never been invented, cuz it gave a bad name to skiing. Rollerblading is basically a way to emulate ice skating in the summertime. Have you seen any stylie skiers who adapt there tricks from rollerblading? Tanner, Pollard, Mick D, Larent, all those guys have sick style and they Skateboard. Ill probably be hated off of NS for this, but if you rollerblade, try skateboarding or surfing, its a lot more challlenging, and not near as gay.

SKiing is its own sport and cant be copied.

So if you choose to go rollerblading at your local skatepark, please for the love of God, dont affiliate you self in any way to skiing. I mean you can dress like justin timberlake, or micheal jackson, or even the artist formely known as prince, but dont wear skiing shit. It makes us all out to look like faggots.

If you insist on rollerblading cuz you think it cool, you should try snowblades. I think that is the wintersport you would be good at.

Oh and for all you haters who are going to pull the Gangier card, HE SKATEBOARDS check his profile on Salomon.com. All his crazy grinds are just original things he is doing on skis. They are not rollerblade tricks, hes just trying to do something new. And even if you can abstractly compare some of his shit to rollerblade tricks, gangier probably didnt know that when he invented them.

Skiing is Skiing pure and simple. It was the first way to have a controlled slide down a hill covered in snow. that shits O.G. We have poles too.

Rollerblading is a copy of ice skating and

snowlerblading is a copy of rollerblading.

Please hang up your rollerblades and try something else. Or just stick to skiing. Whatever. If you must have a summer sport to particiapate in, try skateboarding, it is good for strengthening your ankles and knees and its style can be brought into skiing for sure.

Skiing is its own sport and there is nothing else like it.

ok first off newschool skiing has been around for maybe a decade now and trick rollerblading started in the late 80's early 90's. secondly, even if charles skateboards, he also rollerblades as well, sammy carlson blades. lots of people do. it makes them way better at rails. and lastly rollerblading is way more technical, and difficult then skiing. obviously you have never seen the pros hit fuckin like 50 kink rails and 600ft+ rails. and the whole t shirt thing? give me a break. if you think that people that roller blade and wear ski stuff is making our sport look gay than u have some issues man.
 
stop calling people haters when this is your rant, you're the hater. and rollerblading is just as hard as skatin at the pro levels. they do frickin 450s on to handrails just by jumping off flat ground and shit.
 
What an Idiot rollerblading isnt easy and second of all who cares what shirt he is wearing he probably skis and is just using rollerblading to emulate skiing it is kinda the next best thing in the summer. And if something like this bothers you have fun in life you little bitch

blading itself is easy, but the tricks the top bladers do are just as hard and shit load more riskier the the top tricks of skating.

some guy recently posted some amazing blading videos and pictures on this site that i dont want to find. they're of himself doing like insane gaps to rails. theres this one sequence of him jumping off of a stair set, clearing like 10 feet of flat pavement, and landing on a rail going down another stair set. so easy to die.
 
Dude your a complete retard. Rollerblading is not easy, it involves alot of tech especially on rails. Your probally just some wood pushing poser who just hates rollerbladers because your friends hate us. Even though rollerblading isn't skiing its a lot like it. ok, i skateboard, and i ski, and i think rollerblading is gay. I know its a dick thing to say but to be honest it looks so stupid. I'm not saying it isn't hard, or technical, its just so dumb looking, i didn't even know that people took rollerblading seriously until I joined this site. and to the people defending rollerblading, yea its pretty neat and all but honestly, can you confidently rollerblade down the street doing tricks? no, you cant, and if you can, then you have a false sense of self-confidence. because every single person that sees you wants to throw a brick at you, and i'm one of those people. rollerblading has the easiest learning curve ever.

and to everyone talking about how much rollerblading influences skiing, i disagree. i mean obviously it does considering that good skiers do it, and then mimic it. but think about how freestyle skiing has progressed.... snowboarding! and thats a fact because snowboarding is so fresh, and snowboard tricks came from skateboarding and surfing. think about it. every time you do or see a switch 10 think of steve caballero because he pioneered switch spins, which came to snowboarding and then skiing. im not saying skateboarding is a bigger direct influence on skiing, it just is better than rollerblading. with all due respect to gagniers sheer insanity, who gives a shit about his 'progressive grinds'. sure they are good but they are so ugly. its cool to make stuff up but just because one person does a grind doesnt mean rollerblading changed skiing.
 
theres a sick old lady who rides roller blades around the paths in my town with some sweet outdoor poles. so you cant really pull the "skiing is unique, we have poles" card, because crazy old lady on the rollerblades begs to differ. other than that i think rollerblading is gay too. especial tigh pants and beret's while skating.

Hating on ANY sport is retarded. If somebody is out doing something they love WHY THE FUCK SHOULD YOU CARE. I dont rollerblade or skate, but the whole rivalry between the 2 existed between skiing and snowboarding for awhile aswell. Luckily it seems like we have gotten way past that by now, and everybody just gets high and rides, atleast in mammoth anyway.... SO STFU.

And I just want to clarify; you feel uncomfortable because some dude is wearing a 4FRNT t-shirt, and you somehow think that because you ski, people will see this dude, and associate you with him, and THEN think you are less 'cool' or something????!?@!??!@?!@? ... if thats the case you have serious confidence issues and really should think about some sort of therapy.
 
i think the california rolls that the yasutoko brothers do are as steezy as anything, unless your one of those people who hates any spin higher than 720
