Random itunes song fading bottom combo thing deal

i was just listenin to a song on itunes and went to click on a different one and my finger hit a key/ couple of keys and it made it so it faded beautifully into the next song i clicked on. Ive been trying to replicate my success but have had no luck. anyone know the elusive combo, if it really exists? maybe i imagined it? thanks. i have a mac if that matters..
