Rails easier than boxes?

Ok so i am finding rails to be easier than boxes to day i ate shit a thousand times on boxes but only fell once on rails. Does any one find rails easier than boxes aswell?

Rails are easier to slide but boxes are easier to do stuff on. It's much easier to spin on/out of boxes as well as switch up.

I guess boxes can be more slippery if you think of it that way. I like rails better than boxes just because of the sound. shhhiinnk!

I find that rails are usually smooth and uniform, while boxes tend to be more unpredictable. There's always that one box that sticks or has this nail sticking out..

rails > boxes

I honestly don't think I have hit a box in over a season. If there is a choice between a box and a rail I will hit the rail 100% of the time. I think it comes back to the inconsistency thing I just don't like em.

I think rails are easier to grip and do tricks off

boxes are too wide it's weird I can't seem to lock properly on them

Thats because you are going onto a much wider plat form. Spinning onto rails is actually easier because you can lock on after instead of just spinning on the surface.

Yeah boxes that I hit are commonly sticky here in the midwest. But boxes are easier for spins on. But I like rails better because I think its easier to dig in an edge for a switch up

Rails are so much funner, but both suck when they stick, the rails at my hill were sticky all weekend and that blows

boxes are only easier for spins on and really extreme presses

otherwise rails are much more fun, consistent, and easier to do switchups and change directions and stuff and spin out

if you're complaining about boxes-- either you or your mountain's features aren't up to par.

it's much easier to spin onto boxes... everyone has 270s onto surface level boxes.

I like dildo rails cause its the best of both worlds you can still get good grip for swaps but you can also still butter around on them like a box

ill start by saying im not that good but rails are so much sketchier for me to hit. Guess its just the fear of not locking on and smashing the rail. On boxes, worst that happens to me is i slide out on them.

most important thing about hitting rails instead of boxes is making sure you are fully perpendicular to the rail, try to slide it at a half assed angle and you'll probably slip out

My friend made a good point about this earlier in the year, if you're used to scissoring right when you land on a rail just go for the edges of the box instead of just sliding the top.

It's incredibly easier to do switch ups and spins out on rails. I have only found 270 ons easier on boxes, perhaps because my 2 ons land unnatty. Boxes are just for buttering really.

I like rails and boxes, the only fad ive seen in parks lately that I am not the biggest fan of is the big corrugated tubes, small ones are okay, but ones with a large diameter tend to have larger ribbing are super catchy with deathlike consequences

Yeah, my buddy actually said this same shit to me the other day on the mountain and I was like whaaaa? After some explaining it made sense though.

I've noticed that boxes are less scary to hit because the falls aren't very consequential. But when you hit a rail and fall it can be a lot worse. Rails are generally easier to do tricks on if you know how to set your edge

Same. But if the box is skinny enought to be considered a flat bar but still sort of looks like a box then it's fine.
