Rails are for pussies

Okay Okay 1 year later and I’m not saying rails are for “pussies” per say

BUT a lot of my homies who aren’t even in the sport are just now getting into tell me they won’t jump off cliffs or go off booters and even medium sized jumps and will “just stick to the rails/ features”

You aren't a good flow rider or you are too scared to catch air so you just hit rails and avoid everything else, you are a pussy. This is really how it is too, we got east coast rail RATS out here avoiding the jumps that have been built and heading straight for the rails. Can't even appreciate the snow they finally have, pooseees.

Hitting rails doesnt make you a pussy,

BUT,

If you dont hit jumps youre a complete pussy, like op says.

The worst is the bc rail guys who hit a 10 foot cliff into pow and slide the easy rails in the park but dont hit park jumps, and they think they are

Better all around skiers than guys who hit the big line in the park and do the same cliff drops in bc pow.

**learns safety grab

**comes to NS and tries to discredit something OP will never have the balls for

Checkmate

Can you gatekeep harder?

One of the dudes I ski with is the exact opposite of what OP described. Kid rips on jumps, sw cork 7s, dub backs, misty 9s etc etc... but he still can't 2 on to a downbar. Kid loves jumps but is scared of rails. I on the other hand am pretty good all around but my rail game is above my jump game and most would say I'm a rail rat. I'm by no means a pussy, I can cork 7 and other off axis shit on jumps but i just dont spend enough time on tramp to know my axes and how to set them so I ski within my limits on jumps. Oh and OP has small dick

So I'm not from the ice coast, but from what I've heard about it and the midwest, it sounds like there are a lot of parks with really badly built icy jumps, so they just get really good at rails instead.

Being from the midwest I agree that the jumps can be bad because the weather is so random. I have an easier time on jumps than rails though.
