Hello guyz,

I'm a new railer, and i use to go on rails jumping straight and land straight.

I wanted to go on rails on my side (side ways), but some told me you need to take of the edges (sharp edges) of the skies, and u have to wear a protection so u cant heart your back.

i just want to know how to jump or switch on my side, and do i have to do all these before doing it?

by on your side did you mean, on your side side(like body) or sideways on your skis?

and your grammar is horrendous,

i would like to see this " jump on straight and land straight." If this is what you are doin yes you will need a cup to protect your balls

hello guys,

I'm new at jibbing, and im used to doing 50-50s

I want to learn how to ski slide, but ive been told i need to dull my edges and wear a back protector. is this true?

can anyone give me advice on doing ski slides, and is it true i need to wear protection and dull my edges?

yours truely,

i would just start learning it by sliding a box and get used to pivoting your legs so you turn sideways, you can start by doing it just for a second at the end and this will show you that sliding sideways isnt so bad. then take it to a really low, small flat bar, so you can fall all you want without getting hurt. just practice it a lot and youll get way better really fast

no you dont need protection, just make sure to LEAN FORWARD. 9 beginner rail falls out of 10 that i see, the person isnt committing and his feet slide out from under him cause he's leaning back. keep your feet shoulder width apart and keep your weight forward while looking at the end of the rail

good luck, come back with more questions after trying some small rails or boxes

oh and dull edges help on rails but theyre not necessary. if you care about how well your edges hold when carving, don't touch them. if you don't and think you'd prefer duller edges for rails, you can dull them but it will happen naturally anyway
