As we are starting to transition out of the 2016/17 season, We are already starting to think about the future 17/18 season and what rails to fabricate in the off season. Out of curiosity, here at Nashoba Parks, we want to know what features everybody wants to see, has never seen done, and are fun and technical in the eyes of the riders.

I think a long piece of like 6-8" square stock would be fun as a low starter rail, can set up wide like a box or banked so the top edge is a single rail.

That and maybe like a down flat waterfall to down would be hype

a super hard z rail maybe, something with a bunch of kinks and turns. you could throw a comp and have that be the only rail and it would be awesome

dude i love this thread and i love this idea

nashoba parks guy, i can promise ill be there all the time next season if you have a sick setup. i was super impressed the few times ive been there (park wise)

i know you need rails that are simpler and easier to learn on/learn tricks on but i always wish mtns would make more rails that are hard just to finish. long and multi kink and/or with elbows

with nashoba's limited space but apparent interest in making sick shit, i think rolls with many different lips, trannies and even multiple rails would be a great fit there

ill be back with more specifics ideas!

re: jumps- quality over quantity. IMO it's better to have one or two great jumps esp, again, with the limited space nashoba has

to wrap up i wanna say keep up the good work! didnt make it there this year but like i said ive been super impressed the few times ive been there and threads like this keep me hopeful that you guys are keeping up the good work

Been to Nashoba twice and the park was definitely one of the better ones Ive skied. So much fun.

For features, I think a a flat, elbow down, flat would be cool. It doesnt have to be gnarly, but it would be something Ive never seen before.

-c rail that turns into a straight rail

- wallrides that transfer to rails

- rail, large gap, rail

- flat rail drop/gap down rail (personal favorite)

A stair set with down flat down and down rail options going over the stairs.

A spine with walls shaped like a quarter pipe and a fat tube going across the flat top part.

A stair set with a down rail that stops with like 5 or so stairs left. But, in my opinion, if you're gonna have multiple rails on a stair set, keep them a decent distance apart. My local mountain has a stair set but the rails are identical (so why have 2) and are like 4 feet apart. It's sketchy imagining some of the bad falls that could happen if you slide off early and get caught up in the legs of the next rail.

live about an hour away but never made the trip up. do u have night skiing in the park because that would be dope.

I don't even go there but I have some suggestion for rails that would be interesting to me. One of those curvy S boxes, a long waterfall rail, maybe a flat to stairs. Kind of dumb but I always thought it would be cool to have a ~80% buried exercise ball like the ones people do at the beach.

Jersey barrier/ other concrete features. Perhaps a nice flat concrete ledge like something you'd skate on

Word. Will for sure have to make the trip up after school a few times. After looking at some pics of the park, a nice fatty tube would be perfect for it.

With all the fat ass tube recommendations, you should do that but steal Louis' outbacks feature from this year (or something similar), its such a blast. A big long fat tube going up and slightly to the left, the landing is a raised platform (of snow) thats probably about 4 meters maybe less long, and it ends with a lil lip going into a down and slightly to the right identical to the first fat tube. I had so much fun on it, and I imagined some sick ass butter moves going down, like 27 off the up tube and then nose butter, and still doing that nose butter, switch butter 27 into the down tube. That would be crazy

didnt read all responses so idk if someone already said this but rainbow box/rail with a whale tail at the end.

kinda like that one feature at in Level 1's Sunny at sun valley - but not so wide and more rainbow.

also upside down rainbow box, like a mellow "u"
