Rail tips

I have been trying to grind a rail for the past season. I can kinda do it but only on tubes and I’m really inconsitstant with staying on the rail and slipping out. Does anyone have any tips that can help?

Get all the way sideways. Land on the rail with your shoulder pointing downhill and everything below your head and neck sideways. Also most of your weight on the front ski.

Feel that shoulder getting more parallel to the rail as well as keep your eyes fixated at the end of the rail. Learning scissoring or front ski edge control can also help a lot. Repetition repetition repetition

If you have a rope at your mountain just pick a decent rail that is pretty close to the rope, pop your earbuds in and lap the fuck out of it.

don’t be afraid to lean a bit downhill and press your downhill inside edge into the rail. Over time you won’t have to think about it anymore.

Get mad at it!!

Repetition and a sturdy posture. Start small. They wouldn’t put ‘em out there if u couldn’t learn how to do it, just takes lots of practice.

Call it this cause it was the only thing that made sense when I was starting out. Once I found out it was like pressing the gas it clicked for me
