Rail or tube/pipe for winter backyard settup

im planning on making a backyard setup for this winter so i can session a rail at home whenever i want.

i was wondering what would be better getting a big pvc pipe like a single one and using it or getting two smaller pvc ones putting them beside eatchother and making a flat bar.

im leaning toward flatbar so anyone have some input??

if possible, get a large pvc pipe (10 inch diameter or more). they are super fun and super easy to learn tricks on. also, they are the easiest rail to build. however, they are usually pretty expensive so i would not recommend getting one unless you can find one or buy it cheaply.

if you need to choose between a flat bar or a pvc pipe with a diameter of around 3-6 inches, make a flat bar. they are much easier to learn tricks on and can be built easily without spending too much. there are tons of blueprints and designs in the build-a-jib cult. ill post the link below.

I found a 35ft handrail at a park near my house that got knocked over, asked the workers inside the park building if I could take it, they said no. Then I realized, how in the hell am I going to transport a 1,200 pound, 35ft handrail?

get a large pipe, s rails are extremely hard to build. but if you find a way, do it.

PVC is very pliable when heated up, you could but on some asphalt on a hot day (mind you have the wooden base pre-erected) and then once you can bend it enough to make an S, you could screw it on and then clamp it for a few days.

But u have 2 watch out, cause pvc pipes often get cracks because of the pressure... Take a piece of wood and put it in the tube, so it doesn't gets destroys

Craigslist your local city and search things like "pvc pipe" or "culvert" I found a 12" diameter, 20 foot long pipe for $100.

please someone else help im worried that if i use a big pipe that i will not be able to do anything on flatbars in the park

Quite the opposite. I am better at flatbars because I used a 6' diameter pipe to practice on in the summer/skiing at home in the winter.

The guy on Craigslist delivered it on a trailer to my house where it stayed in the same place for pretty much 3 years. When I left for college, my friend and I borrowed his dad's truck to move it. We were able to lift one end up onto the truck bed and then lifted the other end to slide it in. It wasn't easy with 2 people since it weighs about 325 lb but it's do able.
