Yo I know this is pretty late notice but if anyone is interested and is really dying to ride there is a charity rail jam in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada, which is about a 3 hour drive from Duluth Mn and 6 from the twin cities. It's at a shop called Rolling Thunder, it's in the parking lot and will have an old toyta hatch back and a flat back with a 10 foot drop in. Helmets are mandatory due to insurance regulations.
Pluses if you do come down are:
- Early season riding and you will probably win a best trick prize
-The drinking age is 18 so you can stay over night and get slammed.
- There is a live DJ
- You can potentially surf and ski in the same day. After the comp I'm driving 2 hours east setting a geny up with lights on the beach and surfing 5 foot waves (lake superior if you were wondering) until 2 in the morning with some friends. Anyone is welcome to tag along.
