For all of you who want to get rich or grind trying, we are throwing out some guaranteed loot for the rail jam Feb 8. $250 GUARANTEED CA$H for 1st place SKI and 1st place SNOWBOARD. 2nd, 3rd, and best trick TBD based on attendance. We will also have other goods to give out in addition to the $.

We have some other rail jams this year as well.

Having one in 2 days Sat 1/18/14, a Grom jam 2/19/14 and another rail jam 3/8/14 to close out the season.

Here's some footage from last year

what is the entry fee? i feel that's kind of important, should post it on the FB page too.

Yeah sorry about that. I wanted to make sure everyone was cool with the entry fee being everything no additional lift ticket necessary. Wanted to get the contest posted asap though since it's only a few weeks out.

Entry fee is $30 or $25 if you have a season pass. You will not need an additional ticket for the contest. If you want to ride the mountain however you will need another ticket as this will just get you the t bar for the day where the terrain park is. Working on getting some sort of deal if people want to ride the mountain.

So for less than the cost of a lift ticket most places you can sesh a fun setup and try and win $$$$

This is the setup from yesterdays rails jam.

Finally finished the big boy. Painted the skirting throughout the midweek. 16' down box, 34' DFD, 24' down rail.

Once I see what we make for snow this midweek I'll probably be able to zero in on a plan for the rail jam on the 8th. Hope some of you NS'ers can make it out.

This is the plan for the rail jam. I planned out a bunch of different designs I liked the last couple weeks then tried to merge some of them together and get something that would be fun and still fit the space we have to work with. I figured I would post it and see what peoples thoughts were so I can make changes if needed.

Keep in mind this is a plan, and plans can change. At the same time if people are digging this setup there's a very good chance they'll get to hit it or something very similar.

Bump for just over a week away. The last rails are getting finished up. Going to start setting the main part on sunday. Probably putting the flat down in around wed, then setting the dfd after that any of those days before the comp.

It's going to be a good time.

The more people that show up the more events I can throw next years. Also will give me a better chance of getting more stuff to give away at them.

The setup will be there, the $ will be there, some product will be there, will you?

Started on the setup today. Looks a little cleaner now but the light was to low to even take any more pics. Just figured I'd post a couple pics to show people that that setup is actually happening.

The contest is this Saturday.

Also HELMETS REQUIRED

Bring one of them dome buckets because this is going to be a big boy setup.

That looks so sick. Too bad I'm not good enough to compete at all.

Also with the storm coming on Wednesday, I will have to shape and rebuild the "park" at my ski culbs hill on Saturday so the little gremlins and gapers can eat crap again

It's all good. We're having another jam on March 8th that's pretty much open to everyone and just going to be fun.

And hell yeah broto!

I'll post a better pic tomorrow. This was early on in the day right when I started cutting. Right now the cuttings pretty much done. The drop is about 4 feet off. Need to move some snow with the cat and will build the remainder into a bank to land in.

About 4 feet at the ends.

Still need to remove some snow and grade out some landings but getting there. Flat down and DFD should be going in tomorrow.

Is all of that shovel work, including the landings? I am assuming you used the cat to remove all the extra snow.

well my ride didn't pull through so i couldn't make it. bummed, really, sorry rusty. hope everyone is having/has a great time

It's all good man. People were throwing down though. Eli had a 630 out of the closeout. Will Mac was doing dub swaps on the closeout. People were gaping from the inside urban takeoffs to the center down rail. A few 3 swaps. A couple 450's onto various rails. A really smooth switch lip 2 out leaning out on the closeout.

Wish the turnout was better but what can you do. Everyone there killed it, the judging was ridiculously hard. I know everyone says that but I was stressing out trying to get it right. We spent a while making sure everyone was in the right spot. Seemed like everyone had a good time. I guess that and the nice weather is all you can ask for.

Yeah. It wasn't too bad. We're closed midweek and the owners went on a trip for a few days. I had the mountain to myself tues-thurs. Got in my happy place and all the sudden it was startin to look like somethin.

obviously mad late on this but the setup looked sick

Come shred sometime next year. I'm going to try to get a few new rails done this spring if there's time. We should have a full park on the hill somewhere as well as a beginner park on the bunny hill. Might even try for another if I can snag the real estate. I'm hoping to have some nice mid range 20-30' booters and a solid line of rails. Nothing insane but flowy and well built.

Hopefully the interest is up this year and I can do more wild builds for contests. I'd like to do a slopestyle with a nice chiseled course top to bottom and leave it as long as it lasts.

I was massively limited on space so hopefully it'll be less stressful and more productive this season.
