Rail instability

needed a quick response, i hardly have an edge on my skis is this why i cant grip the rail and have a hard time even getting a 270 off . first time this has happened to me.

there is no edge left haha but im pretty sure im just gona have to buy some new one and then take care of those alot better than i did these

don't tune your edges.. if you sharpen them, you'll be more likely to catch on the rail (a common problem when you get new, sharp skis)

my guess is that you're keeping your chest facing down the hill. this will make it so that your front foot isn't actually putting any pressure on the side of the rail to get your spin going, and will eliminate your ability to get your whole body spinning at the same time. keep your shoulders square with your lower body and keep your weight distributed. you should be all good.

forgive me if I underestimated your prowess. not meaning to insult you

Not at all ik what you mean but once i started to notice somthing was different i went on the rail and gripped it as hard as i could and i hard got back straight

OH! okay that makes more sense.

you shouldn't need to grip too hard for that. just keep your shoulders square with your lower body, and your chest pointing straight sideways. and keep your eyes on the end of the rail the whole time. you'll go where your eyes go.

maybe just a tiny bit of grip if you feel like you're spinning too much the opposite direction, but you shouldn't need to grip as hard as you can
