in Algonquin, IL is a small hill w/ a rope tow that builds a decent park. It has been a snowboard only hill in the past but things have changed and skiers and their poles are now allowed. www.ragingbuffalo.com It also looks like they are going to be opening this week. another option to keep in mind for those in the area

so we can use poles now? I remember last yr you could only go if your skis were under like 150cm and you couldnt use poles. it is legit though.

our skis and poles are allowed, at their open house i talked with them to make sure and ended up getting a membership.

they have a season pass which is what you think. They also have a park membership: 60 bucks and you can buy 2 hour sessions for 9-14 bucks and you get some free passes and other swag. Otherwise their tickets for a one tow hill some rails, jumps and one sketchy looking pipe is 30 something dollars.
