skiing i think is parting from snowboarding, i mean, jf cusson started by copying them, but i think skiiers have taken a different path now, crazys spins, gnar grabs, HUGE gaps, and just seing "Echo" by team 13 a guy backflipin a 135 foot cliff and fronting a 165, so crazy, skiing is progressing like non other, and it seems snowboarding is reaching the part of progression when its all about style and tech, but right now skiing is huge spins and tech, but in a way we are still following snowboarding, but yet still taking our own path, thats my 2 cents

i think that we will stop imitating snowboarding when we realize that we can share styles. boarders are possibly the most creative athletes out there, and in teasers for this years movies, we can start to see that in skiing as well. hopefully in years to come, snowboarders will realize what kind of style skiing has to offer back. this has already happened to some effect, with pollard riding with the Mack dawg crew during the early 00's.

i dunno much about snowboarding, but i think skiing has progressed away from snowboariding because we realise skill in utter style, somebody can get mad respect out there for just a 180, while in snowboaring u gota huck it harder and faster

yeah dude, everything you see from snowboard movies are soo orginal and usualy havnt been done before, and everything they do has so much style, its crazy, snowboarding is a huge step above skiing in that catigory, but i still stick with what i said b4, skiing is also blazing(haha blazing) its own path and will break out and its gonna be amazing

boarding and skiing will just mush together and soon we'll not be following them as much, but start progressing at about the same rate all together like friends. weeeeee. that is if they can stop bashing on each other for no reason

i really think rails have helped freestyle ski progression sooooo much i mean i remember a few years ago people were like WOW that kid just did a rail on skis! in the past few years 450 disasters and all these combos like switch 270 on switch up 270 offs have been added its just crazy to see where it goes and im just riding with the flow

im not saying 1's specifically, but the expression in style is much more evident in skiing than snowboarding (atleast to me) especialy in competitions and stuff, im sure alota u have been stuck with snowboarding judges and been marked completeley on what tricks your doing instead of how you do them
