Race plate question

So I have a pair of Volkl Racetiger Speedwall SLs, not FIS, which have a marker Rmotion 12.0 D binding on them, the skis are fucking dope, the bindings suck balls.

my question is weather or not it'd be possible to take the binding off the plate/rail whatever you call it and replace it with a comp 16? if not, would it be possible to take it off completely and put a Rossi race plate on it instead and just get some fks 15/18s on instead?

I find it frustrating to have a ski with lots of potential with a binding that can only do so much...

So long as the bindings you replace them with use the same rail mount system you will be fine. You probably can not change brands as they wont fit the plates, but if you can find some bindings which use teh exact same rail system you can easily replace them

did the same thing on my nordi speedmachines...fucking marker crap...anyway i had to take the plate.off because youll never find the right system binding even if the good marker would fit, which it wont... if you can remove the crap down to the top sheet you may be able to drill a race plate. but if i remember, dem shitz are not at all flat on top, got them ridges running tip to tail.

thats what im thinking of doing, the volkls are a flat skis, and i have a pair of rossi race plates, so i might see if a shop can take off the marker completely then get a fks 15/18 mounted
