Race Bindings on park/bc skis

Hey i wanted to ask if anyone knows if you can mount race bindings on park/bc skis, i found som really nice looking salomon bindings and some look bindings in my garage, but they’re mounted on race/carving skis, the problem is that these bindings are mounted on plates and the question is if you can mount them without a plate on a park/bc ski? Idk if this is stupid but i think it’s good to ask.

Pivots were designed as race bindings. Pretty much all good ski gear was originally for racing lol

Jeah i know but normally they go on to a plate and not directly on the ski and i wanted to know if it’s possible to mount them without a plate

You could, but it will be hard to find a Jig with the proper pattern. I would also check the screw depth since a raceplate tends to be a bit thicker. Otherwise there is no problem with it!

Jeah i think i would need shorter screws and i would make me a paper Jig by my self

Screws might even be the standard length, as you drill into the raceplate only, not through the plate and then into the ski

if can sort a jig go for it. ski will feel very different though, more than likely stiffer and planky. this works well the other way too, mounting pivots etc to skis that usually run plate or rail systems can make otherwise unwelcoming skis quite fun
