These three, very prominent storm chasers died last Friday while chasing the storms in El Reno, OK. I always kind of looked up to them and hearing that they are now dead is pretty sad. They had done, and were continuing to do so much to better protect the lives of people living in this dangerous region. Its weird how the deaths of people you don't even know can make you feel so sad.

These tweets are really haunting.

Also, a very cool video if you are into weather and such.

That really sucks. I feel terrible for his family, a son and a father, wow.

I guess it's to be expected though. I can't imagine chasing around tornadoes in a box truck is a very safe career path.

Great video of Tim! I always enjoyed seeing him on Storm Chasers. I really enjoyed that show, very fascinating despite the over-the-top drama from some of the teams. After seeing his demeanor on the show it's pretty surprising to see that, of all the Storm Chasers, his team was killed. He was always very cautious and Carl was always trying to get closer for deployment. He was definitely a pioneer of Tornado research.
