Quiver Killer inserts in predrilled holes?

Is it possible to put QK inserts in holes that have previously been predrilled/mounted (with the same pattern)?

Even in those holes where previously was bindings drilled? Or QK inserts are larger then bindings screws, so there is needed a little bit of extra drilling?

Yes. In fact that's the only way i've seen it done.

quiver killers are way wider than binding screws. They have to be larger so you can screw the bolts into them.

The drill bit for normal binding screws is 3.5mm or 4.1mm if it’s got metal. Ski binding screws are generally ~5mm. The drill bit for inserting the QK (or the original, Binding Freedom) is 6.5mm and so wipes out any evidence of the previous mount.

I’ve done a fair few mounts of binding inserts and all have been using pre-drilled holes. I don’t have the jigs for bindings so get my local shop to drill them for normal binding screws and then use those as pilot holes.

Even if the screw has torn out as long as the damage to the core isn’t terrible it’s still possible to mount inserts.

Thanks chicken and razors-chaz, question got solved!
