Quitting smoking

I think I'm going to give it a try. gone a day or two before. Never really straight up tried to quit completely. I think I'm just going to try to go a week, and see what happens from there

wow what an epic bump.....

]but yeah... when i stoped toking i gave up cigs as well... that lasted about 1.5 months and i started smokign cigs agian. stilll have not puffed.. dont ge me wrong i dont hate weed. just one day i woke up and did not want to get high. but cigs .. like a have a bad chest cold.. and i still want a fuckin cig. even though i know that they are horriable for your health but the addiction is just soo powerful

I dont think anyone wakes up one day and chooses to start to smoke it just starts as some thing small like I started at parties where everyone was out smoking talking id bum one every once and a while then it became more frequent over time. and at bars everyone is smoking all the time you cant escape it breaking the habit is really hard ive been with out one 3 weeks tomorrow and craving every night i go out which is every night whats helped me is i started to hang out with a girl that doesn't like smoking so there is incentive there and ive given permission to all my girl friends if they see me smoking they have the right to slap me with no consequence so yea they have taken full advantage of that and it helps good luck man

damn this thread is old but I quit last sunday and haven't had once since. Its surprisingly not as hard as i anticipated.

I havent smoked a cig since december. Every once in awhile if you get really stressed you'll want one but dont give in!

I have been smoking on and off or seven years, and have quit for periods of like 3 months like 4 times, and personally I think the first bit is the easiest, its after a few months when you start feeling all healthy again and shit that you think it'd be ok to have just one more... and the bam your smoking again.

Took me numerous times to quit until I found the two keys to success:

1. Welbutrin. It's an anti-anxiety drug they used to give to people for quitting smoking. It makes the idea of smoking cigs literally repulsive unless I'm drinking inappropriate amounts of alcohol. It also makes it much easier for me to stop myself from thinking in circles. Other than that - I've noticed ZERO side effects. I fucking hate Rx drugs, but this one is legit.

2. Having a significant other that does not smoke. Mine wouldn't be THAT upset if I smoke, but the fact that she doesn't and would prefer if I didn't is the little push I need beyond Welbutrin to get it done. I haven't smoked a cig in four months, and I was smoking 12-15 cigs a day for about two and a half years before that.
