dont claim you have quit untill you are at a month with out cigs. I here to much about people who quit smoking and havent had a cig in two days, and two few of i havent had a cig in a year and i run 2 miles a day. Do something like work out to stop your thoughts about smoking

I talked to a couple at the bar last night that quit a month ago when the price went up. I'm probably going to try again soon. The fact that there 10 bucks a pack makes the thought easier though.

i stopped after the 4th of july. It wasnt that hard at first because i went on vacation and was in a different place with a different routine but it has been pretty hard since coming back, especially when drinking. I did break down last monday because i had been drinking all afternoon into the night and really didnt care. I felt like shit the next day though.

For me i keep gum on me at all times, and jolly ranchers. good luck dood

hahaha two days... man you're clean for sure! guess what, i just quit drinking a beer ago. i'm on that cold turkey boat with you, man!

this right here. fuck the NY state goverments' broke ass for uppin the tax again. i honestly dont care about the health effects and i enjoy smokining but im not gonna spend 80+ dollars a week on ciggarettes , with most of that money going to the fucking state government. someone was telling me in manhatten shit is like 14 dollars.

Yeah I live in ny. I'm going to buy some cartons next time I go down to south carolina. Newports are over 11 with tax I think. Camels and marbs are just under 10 before tax.

damn i thought it was bad in utah to damn, that tax is a bitch but find a friend on a military base and have them buy you a carton on base it is still federal tax so way cheaper.

i'm in the beginning stages of quitting chewing...started with the long cut for about 4 years...it was about 3 tins a week...got that down to 1 tin a week of long cut...now i'm down to 1 tin of pouches every two weeks...

its working great and my gums are feeling better. teeth looking good again.

I was sort of thinking about maybe trying to quit soon. I've never really wanted to quit, but at this point they are such a massive ripoff. I didn't have a cigarette yet today but I just smoked a bowl and its tempting to go to the liquor store and get some.

i quit in march, still goin strong. at first i just took a bong load everytime i want a cig, now i just dont smoke

Its good to tell people you quit. It helps you feel more commited, plus if you tell everyone you quit then you have just that much more incentive to follow through,

that wasn't what i was saying. I was saying do something to stop thinking about cigs. I never smoked but my dad and grandfather quit smoking cigs and they ran a marathon. My grandfather ran the ING and my dad ran the marines one. Neither have smoked a cig since they quit. My friends quit and really tried but they did nothing else and they are smoking still

I started on my 15th birthday party and was aquatinted with a very nice asian shop lady who would sell without asking for ID, so i am now 16 and its been really fucking hard. I have to google image "effects of smoking" every day.

smoked for 3 years and its been 2 months without cigs..... i think i've coughed up all the tar. it's been rough

I keep a pack of Lucky Strikes filterless for drunk smoking and whenever I get the urge. A pack lasts me about a month, and I love the taste.

I've been with girls that had suicidal silhouettes

Me, I choose a nice slow death from smoking cigarettes

First person to claim the lyric wins some K

They are delicious and they help me deal with all the stupid shit that happens around me on a daily basis. I also get really nearsighted when I'm tired and sometimes when I have to be up and driving at 6:30am I can't like see straight until I smoke a cigarette and fully wake up. Coffee or a shower does the same thing but I don't always have time for that. And they are delicious.

ive never smoked cigs but for me to quit something, i have to quit alltogeather right then and there or its not quitting, its giving in every so often. Not sure how different things that ive quit are from cigs

i never started i'm sorry but i think you are all.....whats a nice way to say it, not smart for smoking what good ever comes from someone smoking a cig

haha these replies are great.

good luck. quiting is a bitch, although I couldn't imagine being drunk and not smoking a cig. mmmm

Yup, did it this summer. I don't even like them anymore now that I've quit. I could see myself starting again in the winter though, since a chairlift ride is just too perfect for a cig, but that's the only way I could ever see myself smoking cigarettes again.

trying again. Sucks. I've quit for a ferw days a couple of times but everytime I go to a show I end up smoking. And I go to 1-4 shows a week. Fucked, but the price is right for quiting. Trying. Maybe someday?

Havnt read the thread but all I have to say is as a smoker for 5 years now quitting is possibly one of the hardest things I have ever done. The mental and physical addiction to cigarettes is extremely surprising. I used to think that I wasnt addicted until I tried to stop. Especially if your a drinker. You cannot get drunk and try and quit smoking. It just doesnt work that way. Thats my 2 cents.

I quit for a while last winter. Everytime I wanted a cig I would smoke some weed. Can't remember how many days because I was high the whole time. Gonna give it another go in a week or so.

yea since i made this i think i have bought 2 packs and smoked them very slowly, my job just makes me want to smoke and when i go to parties i do also. so what i decided is to not quit but just smoke a cig every now and then, just at some parties or when skiing occasionaly. so its like a guilty pleasure like eating mcdonalds or something.
