my bad, I was missinformed about adidas owing mervin, though I'm sure if quicksilver does aquire rossi they'll concentrate more on the snowboarding side as far as involvment goes.

Quite frankly, I wouldn't mind seeing Rossignol go to Nike (of course I'd rather see it go to a progressive company like Quicksilver). But Nike has SO MANY resources and not mention a shitload of know how. The company got into skateboarding just recently and they've aquired some of the more influential skateboarders of the time. They're SB lineup is awesome (love the new Dunk styles). I feel that they could do some pretty damn good things for newschool skiing for sure. Just because it's Nike doesn't always mean it's a bad thing. I would love to be Phil Knight right now.

i talked to the people from rossignol and i guess that corporate turned down the bid from quiksilver. but i think that they are making another one or have to do more nagotiating (i butchered that) about all of it...

 
Qicksilver is a MUCH larger company than rossignol. Quicksilver broke 1 billion in gross sales last year, netting well over 60 million. Rossi by comparison grossed less than half of a billion (435 million), and netted only 4.3 million.
