Quick release/Glidecam Question

So I was looking for an easier way to transfer my camera from my tripod to my glidecam.

I was wondering if it is as simple as getting two quick releases and screwing one onto my tripod and my glidecam, or is it something I have to get a completely different tripod head for.

If so, could someone recommend a good quick release, and tripod head?

+k for good help

Inb4 Why don't you just transfer it you lazy bum.

because I'm gonna need to switch fast.

Yes if you buy two of the same quick release you can put them on different things and transfer the camera between them (kind of obvious...)If you have a manfrotto tripod you can just buy one extra quick release thats the same as the tripods built in one.

Also was there not a thread just like this a few days ago

The giottos is just a cheaper version of the manfrotto, but its supposed to be basically the same.

There's also a calumet (or camulet I forget which) one thats a copy of the manfrotto but cheaper, so your plates will work on both of them. Giottos has a different sized plate

idk if this is just my glidecam but i have the quick release plate on it, and it comes loose every time i have it on it, just me but u might want to just get one that works for each, carry a penny in ur pocket and just switch through plates

What would that achieve? You said it comes loose (probably just yours), but how would using two different ones help that? It would just come loose on both of them and you'd have to unscrew it every time which would be annoying AF

I have two manfrotto 577 quick releases, one on my glide cam and one on my satchler head. works great.

Has anyone every thought about glueing or even just putting some type of mole skin or a piece of one of those sticky like RV place matts on the bottom of the quick release? I crank the screw down onto the top plate of my glidecam pretty hard but it alway seems to come loose and the camera will twist. It takes a little while but taking apart the head of the glidecam is such a bitch to tighten that screw.

Just an idea thought I would see if anyone has ever tried something like this

Don't they have two screws on the bottom that you screw in? Cause yeah my camera always tilts sideways and shit and twists around
