Quick release for filters?

looks like a decent system if you are changing filters constantly when you are shooting. But for the price, you should really just practice switching filters, it really isn't annoying/slow

So it creates a larger distance between lens and filter, and attaches via magnets?

First of all, a "quick release" for filters already exists. It's called a matte box.

Second, I can imagine many circumstances where my filters would get knocked off. Not cool.

Third, increasing the distance between lens and filter is a bad idea with polarizers.

I reject this product.

A perfect example of the stupidity NS breeds. Everyone rushes to tell someone how "you're wrong and I'm right"

let's see you shoot photos at a wedding with a fucking matte box idiot.

I could see how this could be useful if you are shooting something like a wedding where you have to be quick in order to not miss key moments. Way overpriced though. Looks like it could cause vignetting if you were to use it on a wide lens too.

On a sort of related note, I want somebody to make MFT lens adapters with built in vari-nd filters, or swappable ones.

You get what you pay for. A good matte box is rugged and functional. This product is overpriced for how many (dealbreaking) flaws it has.

i can agree with that. the space between the filter and the lens? that's nonsense.

Just kidding. There are flaws, for some it may work, for others it won't. People will buy it none the less.

I have these for all of my lenses and filters. I use them when they make sense for what I'm shooting, other wise it's a mattebox. Pick the right tool for the job. There are many times when I need to swap lenses and filters quickly, and this is a simple answer to that issue. They are also stronger than you think.

Only downside is that you cannot put a lens cap on the lens unless a filter is on it.
