I'm pretty sure quicktime files use a proprietary compression codec, so you'll probably have to buy something from apple if you want to edit one.

If you just have a raw AVI or MPEG compression file, though, then you'll be able to find converters with google.

you might be able to open it up in Adobe Premeir, but im afraid SqueakyWaffle might be right on this one. because you cant view quicktime files (.mov extention) in windows media player, you hvae to use the quicktime player whereas you can download codecs to view any other movie type in windows media player.
