Quick Question: Mac Books

So I have a MacBook Pro and I have a zipped file. I'm trying to extract the music files to another file. Now I know this is a simple task, and on Windows I can do it fine, just not sure how on Macs.
Any help is appreciated...

Wait, so you have a zip file and you want to unzip it? Double click it. If this is a dick answer, sorry. I'm not quite following what you're asking.

I was going to say the same. For me, I just double click it and it unzips automatically.
