Quick question for all you 60d users

I unfortunately just got my t3i stolen and am looking at replacing it with a 60d. I'm just wondering if you can use the zoom buttons on the top back right of the body on the 60d to zoom in and check focus before filming. This was pretty crucial for me when I was using my t3i and had my aperture open.

hollygrove, quick question about your 60D. Do u ever have problems with the video recording? After a couple seconds of recording my screen says "Movie recording has been stopped automatically" or something like that. I have a Adata 32 gb, class 10 card. I emailed canon and they said to do a low reformat of the card. let me know if you have this problem.
 
^ that happens all the time with my t3i. if you change the lcd brightness it seems to help. if its light out, crank up the brightness, if its dark, put it lower. i dont know why this happens. but it seems to work.
 
this makes no sense.

Kid with the question, get a new SD card and try it out. No-name cards seem to do that a lot, get something like a sandisk, transcend, or patriot. They are very reputable SD card manufacturers.
 
alright like go fucking do it. i wouldnt just say it if it didnt work. someone mentioned it on dvx user and i tried it and i dont have the problem anymore
 
i've actually heard that elsewhere too. doesn't make sense, but maybe it does work. idk, i've never tried it.
 
2 trancend and 1 kingston. i rarley get that messege any more, but it still happens time to time. it used to be so bad to the point i couldnt film more then 10 seconds. try'd everything. but doing the brightness thing seemed to help.
