Quick NYC DayTrip (MaxPass) - Windham v Bellayre

Doing a day trip this Saturday from NYC (Yes, I know go to VT they have better snow blah blah, but I have an obligation Saturday evening in Manhattan)

Which is better Windham vs. Bellayre?
 
windham: pros- better park, ease of access, decent town for food,

cons- bunch of jabroni city-goers rental-gear send monsters (stay safe out there), annoying patrol (sometimes)

Bellayre- pros- lowkey best mtn in ny ( highest elevation between windham, hunter and them), no bus trips so usually no jabrones, small mtn feel with "big" mtn terrain, random rest stops sell tickets at ~ 26$

cons- limited park, middle of nowhere, no food/town nearby.
 
I also live in NYC and I've been told Mountain Creek has the best park. They do bustrips I think as well

Creek is a good amount closer than windham or bellayre. they should be opening this weekend so they will probably have a limited park
 
Belleayre is in the middle of no where but there is a great steakhouse about 10-15 minutes up the road (The Phoenician). I often run into skiers who prefer Belleayre over theit local mountain (Hunter) due to the fact Belleayre is never busy. I was skiing there with some friends last year on a Sunday and it felt like we had the place to our own. It's not VT but you can really get in a lot of skiing with the short lift lines and hi speed lift.

Creeks my home mountain and they open tomorrow with 20+ features and a lot of snow. Plus they have night skiing until 9 or 10 tomorrow, 10 saturday, and 9 sunday
 
Aw huntah brah!!

Stay away from that peak resorts Joey fuck fest.

Windham seems to have their act together best for catskill resorts.
 
Thanks, seems like Windham is the move; hopefully the jabrones dont come out until next weekend

Using new setup for the first time (2017 Line Blends / Marker Griffons & 2018 Full Tilt First Chair 8) so i literally would ski Central Park if there was enough accumulation (jk)
 
Can I rent decent twintips around there? Haven't bought new skis for this year yet..

Hmm not sure if creek rents twin tips. I’d call the mountain and ask them about it. I work at a shop 35 minutes away but we only do seasonal rentals and it won’t be worth it if you’re buying skis this year
