Quick Binding Questions

Hey NS,

I have a few quick questions about bindings:

1.First the skis im getting have a 90mm waist, would I be able to get a binding with an 80mm brake stretched to accomidate the larger waist?

2. Im looking into getting some Dynastar NX Jib 12 bindings of evogear for $89.00 (61% off reg.)

The main use for these bindingsa would be park. Does anyone knows anything about them (good or bad) and also does anyone know if the brake is replacable ?

Thanks!

The brakes shouldn't be an issue, people bend brakes all the time to fit wider skis. As for the bindings, I know those are the lower level of Look's bindings, so depending on how much you weigh and how hard you ride, you might be better off with the px series, I think evo has the px 12 for only a little bit more than the nx. Thats the best I can do without knowing weight and skiing ability.

try to get as nice a binding as you can throw down for- something with a 12-DIN (minimum, but no need to get an 18) and one of the upper level heel designs (avoid a simple plastic heel construction). The binding will last longer from an age and durability standpoint. Don't chince on what keeps you connected to your ski.

At that weight, I wouldn't recommend those bindings. I believe they have the same toe as the PX series, but the heel piece is not on the same par. Plenty of people have that style binding on carving skis (not to be confused with race skis), but for park and powder use ( I.E significantly more stress on skis and bindings) I would recommend the PX series, because like ^ they mentioned, you want to have confidence in your binding.

But that's just my opinion, I haven't used the nx binding, but have been very happy with my PX bindings and Im 180

Yea IM looking into the Look PX Jib 12 Wide bindings! (100mm brake)

Will these be a good fit for my Surafec Watch Life skis (90mm)?

alright NS I settled on the LOOK PX JIB 12 WIDE SKI binder, snagged it off evo for basically 65% off!, (i got them for $150)
