Questions on Goggles

Hey Guys,
I am looking to try a different goggle, and I figured this would be the perfect place to go.
I have always been an Oakley guy, wearing the crowbars, splices, a-frames and others.
I want to maybe buy POCs, Eg2s, Smith I/O or I/Os but I really do not know the difference in quality, what's their lenses. Anything really that has a similar quality and wide lense like the crowbar, but I feel something out there can be better. Also what kind of lenses work best for me to purchase. I ski day and night, so whatever works. I jsut do not know what all those Smith lenses are about. lol
SO anyone with experience using these goggles, help a fellow NSr out.
Thanks,Frik

Ive always loved goggles and have owned several pairs, heres a list of the type of goggle and advantages and disadvantages. +'s are good things -'s are bad things
Oakley Crowbar+very customizable. look cool. fit with most helmets. Easy to find replacement lenses ect.-Lenses crack and scratch very easily and outriggers can break. straps also start gettin those little fuzzballs soon after purchase. Also sooo may people have oakley goggles and the dont look unique at all.Overall rating 6.5/7
POC Lobe+Not many people have them. Huge field of vision. Swedish made and long lasting. good lense construction and coating. -Hard to find replacement lenses ect. Dont look super good with helmets that arent made by POC.Overall rating 8
POC Cornea+very uncommon (you will most likely be the only person on the mountain wearing corneas.) super big lense. huge field of vision. steezy looking. Due to the construction they dont exert much pressure onto your face. Overall awesome goggles-Hard to find replacement lenses ect. Dont look super good with helmets that arent made by POC.Overall rating 8.5
Smith I/O or I/OS+run in many interesting color ways. easy to change lenses. Fit well with almost ever helmet. very light wieght and comfortable on the face. Awesome lense choices and sold pretty much anywhere. great customer service. Defog quickly. bitches love em.-used by a lot of people (less than crowbars) Overall rating 9
electric eg2s are really sick looking and scott fixes are also good goggles. i personally would recomend The POC cornea or the I/O or I/OS.
(note: while many i/os designs look like they are girly, the "s" stands for small meaning for smaller faces. they are excellent goggles and look incredibly steezy on guys and girls.)
op: i hope this helps, good luck

You guys totally answered my questions. especially all the detail two above. I appreciate the help a ton, and have given everyone some good karma feedback. Thank you again for the help!

If you are looking for goggles for next year... Just going to throw this out... but Giro has a new goggle coming out that is rediculously awesome and has no buckles or anything... just velcro with a new lens kinda like the oakley blue iridium.... if you like the bubble look... those are probably the raddest goggles I have seen yet.

from my experiences i would go with the I/O
this may just be me but:
crowbars squish my nosesplices still squish my nose, not at much
scott fixes fit nice but i find they are very narrow... felt like i was wearing blinders
EG2 how could you not love them? upper big and great view but they are way too popular for me... 90% of people at my resort have them
I/O are my favourite, great lenses, easy to change and i have found they dont scratch very much i also find they have a very wide view (wider than EG2 but that could be me)
overall i would recommend the I/O you will not be disappointed!

must be something about oakley... i also found splices and crowbars to have a blocked vision... i dont like them at all

I also do notice my crowbars pinching my nose a bit. Thanks for all the input guys, I am leaning towards the I/O right now, and I am going to go check out those Giros prior to my purchase.

I've had oakleys, EG1 and EG2

now on the smith I/o. their honestly awesome. switching lens is the easiest thing, and one for flat light and one for sunny days makes it unreal. I seriously cant see anyone going wrong with these unless they dont fit your face. If you want a smaller pair, go with the I/OS, pretty much the same thing but smaller

I've got crowbars and I tried I/O's but they pinch my nose, but Lobes feel so nice on my face, similar to crowbars.

i don't know if i coudl ever switch from crowbars, but on poc receptor bugs(crowns) look fuckign dope with i/o and i/os

Smith I/O's for sure.
Fit great with most helmets. Defog SO quicklyCome with two lenses, and are easy to change. You forget they're on your face.

i know atleast 45 people who have cracked crowbar or splice lenses and have never hit thier face.
