Questions about University of Utah

I plan on attending U of U next year and have a few questions. I know some people attend the school on this site.

I know the party dorms are chapel glen if you get a nice RA do they care if you have some kids in your room drinking ?

How is the party scene ? If you're looking for a party can you find one or is it really that dry? I just don't want to be on a campus where you cant find a party if you want to go out that night but dont want to go to boulder and all I do is party, i want to ski.

Is there a bus to take you skiing / if so to what mountains?

Free bus with your tuition payment. A bus goes to/from Park City every morning and evening. There's a fee for that one from what I remember.

UTA offers free service all the way from the U campus up Big Cottonwood Canyon (Solitude/Brighton) and Little Cottonwood as well (Alta/Bird)

Yes there are parties; you will be o.k.
 
if you wanna party, go to CU. it's not like parties don't exist in utah, but CU parties are definitely a lot more fun IMO.
 
There will be good parties everywhere. As far as dorm drinking goes, its real easy to get away with you just gotta keep the noise on the DL.

Choose the school for the education, the major. Skiing, parties all that should be second. It sucks making the sacrifice, but its worth it in the long run.
 
For the bus, UTA has many routes that come very close to the dorms at the collage. If you buy a season pass at alta, snowbird, Brighton, or solitude, you can just scan the pass on the bus and it acts as a bus pass.
 
mehh you should pick a school where you can be as happy as possible. enjoying the place you live helps immensely with school work.
