Question relating to Look Pivot 12s and 14s

Hi guys, I normally ride Attack 13s but I was thinking about getting a pair of Pivots for my new Vishnu Wets. My local shop only carries Look and Marker and I wanted to ride my new skis this weekend so I don't have time to order Attack 13s (unless someone lives in Green Bay and wishes to sell me a pair).

I was curious if there is a big difference between the 12s and 14s. Are the 12s lighter? Is one more durable? Different technology? Also since I don't have boots that support WTR should I avoid the WTR model? I think the store only had WTR models in store and I don't want to buy it if the non WTR version would be better for my use (park and some groomers) and for my boots (FT Seth Morrison's). I weigh 175-180 pounds but I haven't had to go anything past 12 as far as my DIN settings go so I think the 12 DIN is sufficient for my playful park skiing but if you disagree please let me know.

Thanks guys. I would do more research before posting but I'm currently at work and have little free time at the moment.

OH LAST QUESTION: Since they are going on Vishnu Wets what brake size should I get? I assume just the 95s?

Same binding, just different DIN. I recently got it and I weight 75kg (no idea in lbs) but havent tried them yet but I think youre good

Sweet. Going to get the 12s then. I usually ride between 8 and 11 DIN anyways. I think the ski shop recommended 8 or 8.5 for me but I bumped it up to 9.5 after a few pre releases.

How big of a difference is there between having your DIN set at 12 vs 14? Also are the 12s a lot lighter than the 14s?

Same exact binding, the 14 simply has a beefier spring in it. You'll be plenty fine on the 12 and you'll save a little bit of $$.

I mean i never had my DIN over 8-ish so for me the 14’s probably would be a waste of cash but if youre going to ride it at 11 or above I’d say you are better off with the 14’s. I believe the 12’s and the 14’s weight the same (1100~ per binding) since they are the exact same binding.
