Question for ski techs

this is actually for cross country skis, im installing a pair of bindings on some fischer skis, but the balance points are really far apart, a bit more than an inche apart. first time ive ever seen this, do i mount them on them on each ski's balance point? should i average out the balance points?
 
Ya, when they are far apart I have always been told to just find the middle of the two points. When they are as much as an inch apart you will notice it if you mount them like that so take the average of the two.
 
i used to work at an xc shop for years. just split the difference. you'll be fine. mount both in between the two balance points.
