question bout box construction

arright...im making a roller coaster box bout 9 feet long 2 feet high and a 4 foot flat before it bends down and back up (rollercoaster) i was wondering what i shood use as a top sheet material...i wasthinking galvanized steel becasue its strong and duz not rust...as long as i bend he metal over the edge it shood not rip bases up...or what type of plastic like LEXAN or a fiber glass thing

 
ya if your going to put that much effort into at least make it challenging.

i would say for smoothness put a plastic type thingy on top metal would make it grabby so yeah i'd go with like some plastic that is durable and it will slide like 10 times betta.

i think blue mountains box...i dont remember exactly but i thot it had a galvanised steel top and it was smooth so i unno

 
When we went to a store and felt the garvanlized or whatewver metal it felt reallly slidy. and its soo cheap

either works. The metal slides a bit faster. I've designed two boxes for my club. I can send you the designs i fyou want, I'm using lexan/plexi, whatever it is it has to be HARD so that your edges never dig in.

 
You can use sheet metal, bend the edges and pop rivet the sides.

better to burn out...

a good box will get wet if you rub it right.
